Service was the absolute worst in this restaurant.
We had a reservation and arrived on time. However, once seated, we didn’t receive service for 30 minutes (we checked the time). There were multiple parties that were seated after us that got their order taken and served drinks before we could even put our drink orders in. Finally, after 30 minutes, we were able to order. After ordering the waiter came back to say that every single person needed to have a drink order despite one person being a young child. Our group just kept getting dismissed and met with bad attitude.
Our group was getting pretty fed up when they would not come back for our food order. Therefore when our drinks came, we decided to just get the bill and not dine there. However, when we got the bill, we noticed that there was a ¥500 table charge per person that was sitting at the table including the child. This shocked us but we were so fed up that we did not feel like arguing.
While we were finishing our drinks, the waiter came by the take some finished cups. This was when they gave one of my group members an obviously nasty look. That was very unprofessional and we could not figure out what we did wrong to be treated with such disrespect.
Once our drinks were finished, we went down to pay the bill at the cashier which a manager looking worker was working. She did not apologize or inquire about why were were leaving early NOR did she greet or thank us.

Meat quality is awesome but the menu only has two courses (the two expensive ones, 10k and 15k) whereas tabelog.com shows them as having three others which are more economical (5k, 7k, 8k) which actually makes this place much more expensive than what people might originally think. The less expensive courses are also better because they are like tasting courses where you get a larger selection of different meat to try which I think is much better than having a set course of just 4 or 5 types. Service was strangely for Japan extremely slow and staff was not attentive to us at all. It took generally 15 minutes or more after we finish one course before we were served the next and I believe the dessert came nearly 20 minutes while we were obviously twiddling our thumbs. I understand the servers don’t want to deal with foreigners who don’t speak Japanese, but they made no attempt to communicate. They just put the food on the table, didn’t meet our eyes, said one or two words in Japanese and left. It could have been so much better experience with the food they serve, it is very unfortunate. Would not recommend to anyone who doesn’t speak fluent Japanese. Avoid if at all possible, I got better service at Benihana.
