First off, Kinka Sushi Bar Izakaya was an experience in Japan that I’ll always remember, and for good reason. The customer service is topnotch with the staff offering you warm hand towels immediately right after you get seated since it’s freezing outside. They also take the time to explain every dish and were very patient in explaining each dish as well as recommending the drinks that would really go well with our sushi choice. Kudos to Rui-san and Tatsuya-san for being so attentive and just the best servers of the night. Kudos also to the chef for preparing a memorable meal.

Fish Miso Soup - The fish miso soup is like a comfort food you eat whenever you feel down. The flavor is just that good! The fish tastes fresh also which is not common for restaurants since some don’t know how to properly cook salmon without making it taste weird.

Aburicious 6 - The presentation and plating of the dish is really great and satisfying. It looks very appetizing!

Salmon Sushi - The salmon sushi is torched perfectly and the flavor dances in your mouth!

Gyu Sushi - On a whole ‘nother level because of the beef’s flavor that’s very unique and there’s a hint of peanut flavor that makes the taste even better 😊

Ebi Sushi - as a shrimp lover, their Ebi sushi is the best I’ve ever had so far because of the way the shrimp had been torched plus the toppings that made the experience even better.

Saba Sushi - this is by far the best from the Aburicious 6. The mackerel is definitely fresh, with a strong mackerel flavor that leaves you wanting more.

Anago Sushi - this is the first time I’ve tried eating conger and so far it didn’t disappoint at all. It’s really good is all I can say.

Kinka Sushi - Last but definitely not the least, the restaurant’s specialty that will make me remember the restaurant and make me want to go back again.

Ultimate 10 kinds of sashimi platter - First off, I literally can’t say anything bad with the presentation because it’s so beautiful and you’re afraid to just pick things off of the plate.

Even the dip is very unique. There are 3 choices, first is the normal soy sauce that you can try everyday. Next is the nigiri tempura dip that goes well with the salt with wine!!! A tip for everyone, the japanese beef goes well with the normal soy sauce and the fish roe goes well with the nigiri + salt with wine combination!

Masumi Sake - really goes well with the sushi and sashimi!!!

Sake Sangria - this one is definitely great for an evening drink since it has a fruity taste that goes well with the sushi every time you sip it after eating a piece.

Overall, I will rate Kinka Sushi Bar Izakaya a 10/10 and will definitely go back again. The place should be famous for the delicious food and great...

Tucked into the electric heart of Roppongi, Kinka Sushi Bar is where Tokyo’s modern elegance meets the precision of traditional sushi craft—and the result is nothing short of extraordinary. This isn’t your average sushi spot; it’s a stylish, high-energy dining experience that knows how to balance quality with creativity, and delivers it all with flair.

The Vibe From the moment you step inside, Kinka grabs your attention. The sleek interior blends warm wood textures with clean, minimalist lines and soft lighting that gives everything a golden glow. The music is upbeat without being overpowering, and the crowd is a mix of locals, expats, and in-the-know travelers—all clearly here for something special. It has a cosmopolitan, date-night-meets-hidden-gem kind of feel, and it works beautifully.

The Food Let’s talk sushi: mind-blowingly good. Each piece is carefully crafted, with cuts that are buttery, fresh, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect. Their Aburi (seared) sushi is a must—delicately torched with a smoky aroma that brings out rich umami layers. The Aburi Salmon Pressed Sushi is one of their signatures, and it absolutely lives up to the hype: soft, savory, and gorgeously presented.

Beyond the sushi, Kinka surprises you with a contemporary izakaya twist—you’ll find creative small plates, bold flavors, and even a little theatrical flair (we’re looking at you, flaming sake bombs). Try the karaage, the crispy ebi mayo, or the wagyu bites—all perfect pairings for your next drink.

Drinks & Service The drink menu is just as impressive. From premium sake selections to inventive cocktails and Japanese craft beer, there’s something for every palate. The bartenders clearly know what they’re doing, and the staff overall are friendly, stylish, and multilingual, which makes the experience welcoming and smooth, even if your Japanese is rusty (or nonexistent).

Final Thoughts Kinka Sushi Bar in Roppongi isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to savor. Whether you’re on a night out, hosting friends, or treating yourself to a solo sushi session, it delivers on every front: atmosphere, flavor, creativity, and service. It’s modern Tokyo dining at its best—refined, fun, and deliciously unforgettable.

Highly recommended. And don’t skip dessert—you’ll...

金閣 六本木 truly deserves 5 stars. This upscale Japanese restaurant in the heart of Roppongi excels at providing an unparalleled dining experience.

The moment you walk through the doors, you are transported to a Zen-like oasis within the bustling city. The interior design is simple yet elegant, with subtle Japanese touches that create a calming atmosphere. Soft instrumental music plays as servers glide effortlessly between tables.

The menu features exquisite and authentic Japanese cuisine, prepared with the freshest seasonal ingredients. I highly recommend starting with the sashimi moriawase and edamame tofu appetizers - the seafood is melt-in-your-mouth fresh and the presentation is artful. For an entree, the black cod simmered in miso is divine. The chef's omakase course allows you to fully indulge in the culinary mastery of the kitchen.

The service at 金閣 六本木 is incredibly attentive and professional, but also warm and welcoming. The servers remember guest's preferences, recommend food and drink pairings, and make dining effortless. They take care of every request promptly and efficiently so you can fully relax and enjoy your meal.

The atmosphere and attention to detail truly makes 金閣 六本木 a special experience. The pristine private rooms provide privacy for business meals or celebrations, with gorgeous views of the city. From the moment you walk in the door until you leave satisfied and content, every aspect of this restaurant delivers outstanding quality and exceeds expectations.

If you want to experience the finest that Japanese haute cuisine has to offer, within an ambiance of pure serenity and comfort, then 金閣 六本木 truly deserves all 5 stars. I cannot recommend it...
