Tenso Shrine — Local services in Tokyo

『Shinto』  is a religion that is close to perfection.

Many Japanese people consider themselves to be non-religious. By myself. But that doesn't mean they don't believe in God. This is because most non-religious people in Japan pray to God. They don't realize that they have a religion. This is because their religion is unique. The faith they hold is called 『Shinto』 .

The peculiarities of 『Shinto』  are as follows.

・There is no scripture Many world religions have scriptures that must be followed. In general, social order is maintained by scriptures. Sometimes scripture destroys peace. When the ideas of the scriptures conflict, it becomes a conflict. Without scripture, there will be no conflict. Since Shinto doesn't have any scriptures, it won't lead you in the wrong direction. Shinto didn't have a scripture from the beginning. It's not that I lost it. They did not create a scripture. Japan adopted scriptures from Buddhism. The Japanese took only good rules from Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. Faith and scripture were separated and incorporated into Japanese society.

・Polytheism 『Shinto』   has many gods. The gods of Shinto have their own individuality. There are many kinds of divine special abilities and birth stories. The gods of 『Shinto』  have some weaknesses, and they feel like humans. This way of thinking has deeply penetrated Japanese society. The diversity of individual people is accepted, and society is established without separation.

·Pray 『清浄Cleanliness』 has rituals for praying. This is done on a daily basis. Especially when that person is in trouble, they go to the shrine and offer prayers. Also, when you have a wish that you want to make come true, pray at the shrine. This act of prayer by Japanese people is an action to acknowledge their own desires. Since ancient times, prayer has been used to reset the mind and clarify goals.

・Cleanliness When you go to a shrine, there is a hand-washing area that says『清浄Cleanliness』. This is a sacred space at this shrine. Therefore, it is good manners to clean yourself before entering. When you stay at a shrine, you should be able to feel its tranquility. By being in that space, you will feel refreshed and filled with vitality. That vitality is not desire. It makes you feel fulfilled. Your physical, mental, and time will be 『清浄Cleanliness』in this silence.

・Regional center Shrines are protected by people called『Ujiko氏子』 who live nearby. People in the area belong to a group called 『Ujiko氏子』 and cooperate with each other. By connecting people, the area...

3月16日 辰の日 ありがたく参拝をし 、御朱印を拝受しましたが、 何度思いかえしても 頭からの光景が離れません。 私はこの2枚目の投稿の写真のように 平成20年より御朱印を拝受してまいりました。 ですが初めて 本当に有り得ない光景を目にしました。 アルバイトのような手慣れない神職の方にもお会いしましたが、 いくらコロナ禍とはいえ参拝者が受付の窓口に立っているのに、ガラス越しの社務所の中向かって左奥椅子の椅子に座り腕を組んで 目を瞑っている。

曹洞宗の僧侶か瞑想でもしているのか、苛立ちを抑えながら左手にある玄関口のベルを鳴らし気づいてもらい御朱印を拝受した。

今時は御朱印がブームになっている中で、 コロナ禍もあり、 ほとんどが書き置きで300円で書いていただいていた御朱印も500円になりこちらの御朱印は、書き置きなのに1000円を納めした。

納得がいかない、今日御朱印のいただき方やマナーだとかネットや雑誌で騒がれている中で書き手や神職の方も、もう少し学びを得てから社務所に座ってもいいのではないかと思う。

長年きちんとをお務めをしている神職の方がた宮司の方に失礼だと思う。

少なからずとも神様に携わる方は心遣いがあっていいと思う。 このことを書いたことによって 天照大御神様イザナギイザナミの命の ご機嫌を損ねるのであれば そちらの神職の方は とうの昔に天照大御神様の ご機嫌を損ねていると思う。

先日行われたシャネルマツリの会場ともなった六本木の天祖神社。 ミッドタウンから徒歩2～3分、道路を渡った反対側にあります。 シャネルマツリは大賑わいでしたが、鳥居を潜り境内はひっそり静寂に包まれていました。 神社って回りの空気すら寄せ付けない神聖な領域なんだなぁって、いつもつくづく思います。

天祖神社の創建は至徳元年（1384）。 600余年の歴史がある神社です。 御祭神は伊邪那岐命、天照大神、伊邪那美命。 社殿は昭和32年（1957）に造営されたものです。

まずは手水舎で心身を清めます。 鉢の上には龍が鎮座しております。

故事によると、毎晩、竜が品川沖から御灯明を献じたことから「竜灯」と呼び、それがなまり、この地を「竜土」と呼ぶようになり龍土神明宮とも呼ばれるようになったとのこと。

御朱印を授与していただけるのは元旦～成人の日、毎月の辰の日のみ。 この日は特別祭という事で特別の御授与がありました。 御朱印帳を持参していなかったので、最初から書き置きとお願いしましたが、もしかしたらこの日は書き置きのみの授与だったかもしれません。 初穂料は500円でした。
