Koseli — Restaurant in Tokyo

What a find! I'd describe Koseli as an Indian izakaya. The menu includes the sort of tandoori and naan with curry sets that you'd expect to find at an Indian restaurant in Tokyo. But it also has enough variety - curry-infused dishes, tandoori chicken personal pizza - to please a crowd of people with differing tastes. The place is perhaps medium-sized for a non-chain restaurant in Tokyo, with a half dozen or so tables, each able to seat about 4 people. The evening that my wife and I stopped in for dinner was a rainy Sunday in late October, and we shared the restaurant with only one other diner. Thus service was quick and pleasant. The majority of dishes, including most of the curry sets, can be had for under 1000 yen, even at dinner time. We enjoyed our meal, and look forward to returning to Koseli the next time we stay...

We have tried butter chicken Naan set & gapao rice and cheese Nan. We paid 2500 yen for all of them. The taste of them were overall good but the cheese Nan is a bit sweet than I expected.

There is an area where you can smoke at the outside.

You can switch the Nan inside the curry menu with cheese Nan by paying the difference of 350 yen but I realized that after leaving...

The staff were nice but I don’t get why the food ranks so high. The curry, nan, salad were average, eatable but nothing at all to get excited about. On top of being just average, the chicken they gave me was tiny and cold.
