We were shopping in Akihabara and had unagi in mind. Google Maps showed this place nearby with decent ratings so we went here for lunch. I can speak and understand some Japanese to get by, and was able to get a private room for my party of 6 without reservation. You should try to get a reservation if you can, maybe ask your hotel concierge for help.

We got an English and Japanese menu after waiting for about 5 minutes. We ordered the small unagi set, yakitori, and oyako.

The unagi was delicious. It was cooked over charcoal and smoked very well. It was soft, fresh, and easy to eat. Unlike in the US, all the unagi were smothered in sauce to mask the eel. I would recommend coming here.

The only fault I found was with our waitress. We didn't get the Japanese hospitality that we've experienced at other restaurants during our trip. She was cold and not proactive with the service. An example was that she never offered us water or tea, we had to ask her specifically for it. She also never checked up on us to see if we needed anything else, and again, had to ask for a refill for tea. I didn't think it was a language barrier issue, because again, I spoke to her in Japanese as best as I could. The other staff who helped us were wonderful.

Besides a minor issue with the service, the overall experience was good. You should give this place a try, but I would recommend making a...

Was looking for an early lunch in the area and saw this restaurant poped up so went for it. I got in at 11am when it just opened and was the first customer of the day. Menu consists mainly of eel items (as with most restaurant). The restaurant filled up pretty quickly with locals before 12.

Ordered a medium unadon and egg roll with Unagi. I was not disappointed. The unagi was grilled to almost perfect and i can see the restaurant did put a lot of effort in cooking the eel. The skin was grilled to slightly crisp and the sauce was not overwhelming.

The egg roll was particularly soft and the texture taste like it will melt in your mouth. It was also steaming hot when it was served.

The price was appropriate considering the quality of food. They gave out a plastic card which you use for payment at...

The restaurant had barely anyone inside and we tried to go in for dinner within the opening time, however the restaurant staff immediately shuffled us out and said “tomorrow 11 bye.” if for some reason they did not wish to serve us and had the correct reason to do so they could’ve said so in a much more polite manner. The hostility is almost criminal like and you will find yourself having a better time elsewhere. Whatever you do, do not come to this store. You can also refer to other reviews of this restaurant for confirmation both by locals...
