Kura Sushi offers a delightful culinary experience that combines the excitement of conveyor belt sushi with the convenience of modern technology. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the lively atmosphere and the inviting aroma of freshly prepared sushi.

The conveyor belt, adorned with colorful plates of sushi, tantalizes your taste buds with a diverse selection of traditional favorites and innovative creations. Each plate is labeled with the dish's name and price, making it easy to indulge in your favorite rolls or explore new flavors.

What sets Kura Sushi apart is its innovative use of technology, including the Genki iPad system, which allows you to place custom orders directly from your table. Whether you're craving hand rolls, sashimi, or tempura, the intuitive interface makes it simple to customize your dining experience to suit your preferences.

The quality of the sushi at Kura Sushi is exceptional, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and expert craftsmanship evident in every bite. The chefs take pride in their work, ensuring that each dish is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.

Aside from the delicious food, Kura Sushi offers a fun and interactive dining experience that's perfect for families, friends, and sushi aficionados alike. The revolving conveyor belt adds an element of excitement as you watch your favorite dishes glide past, while the playful decor and friendly staff create a...

Kura may not be my favourite sushi in Tokyo, but it was one of my most fond experience (so far, on day four of ten) 🤗

We arrived at 11am and already there was a queue of 10-15 people in front of us, probably hungry as we were due to a late night before and skipping breakfast.

Our last meal was Sushiro so a comparison between two of the largest chain of kaitenzushi in Japan is meaningful if not mandatory 😂

Long story short, I much prefer Kura over Sushiro 🥰 The waa actual sushi on plates coming around on a conveyor belt (unlike Sushiro whereby everything was ordered via their in-house app), no time limit for dining in (Sushiro enforces a 60 minutes window), the pickled ginger taste better (less syrupy and thinly sliced), the staff left us alone but were attentive when requested, the variety is bewildering and for every five plates, you get to play Gashapon (ガシャポン or capsule toy vending machine) 😂🥚

To be fair and frank however, Sushiro serves up crispier and airier battered tempura; and their variety is more creative (think salmon mozzarella basil sushi 🧐🤤).

Our only disappointment with Kura was the system had an error whereby we did not receive one game / go at Gachapon 🥺😭 Forgive us we love and collect Gachapon 😂 Overall, not a deal breaker 大丈夫! If you're a tourist with limited time / meals quota in Japan,...

Our meal was around ¥2,000 per person (3 people) and included 20 dishes from the entire menu. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The food was decent, suitable for a quick grab-and-go or for a few rounds with a group of friends. The reality is … it is a sushi belt restaurant with machine-automated checkpoints. Do not expect the most memorable experience or service. That is not part of the deal.

Very clever upselling strategy with their gashapon! For every five plates ordered, you have a chance to win a toy. The Asian market will never say no to this because they believe that if they have 12 or 13 dishes, they are only a few away from winning a prize. It's funny—almost like encouraging gambling haha.

I also ordered two items from the Pokémon collaboration! Personally, I always avoid colors that are "too fake" for food that weird me out or have a high chance of being a regret. That's how I felt about the yellow-pink Swiss roll. But I fell for Sakebushippo's Shrimp Tempura Crepe Temaki and Tetsunobujin's Peach Melon Soda 🫣 It wasn't bad! 🫠 Only comment for the temaki … stale sushi rice.

If you don’t have a sweet drinks, don’t get the Melon Soda.

Fast and friendly checkout 👍🏻👍🏻

Book for 5:30 PM and didn’t have to wait. When we were leaving, the lineup...

Pretty good cheap kaiten sushi option. I like that they have a plate dispenser which helps keep things clean. As far as English friendliness... In order to get a seat you use a machine that is in Japanese, but they do have a sign next to it explaining what to do. For the most part you just hit the obvious start button then keep clicking the obvious continue button. Then a keypad appears which is asking you how many people. Enter that and keep continuing then you get a ticket. Next you wait until your number is called, which can be a little hard to tell without being able to understand Japanese, I'd recommend just hovering around the kiosk to see what number it's calling for. When your number is called you go to the kiosk and keep hitting continue then you get a ticket with a number which is your seat or table number. Go find your seat and keep your ticket. At the end you need the ticket to checkout. At the seat, you can order by tablet which does have English, so that is much more simple. Quality wise it's about on par to sushiro in my opinion, but even cheaper. Of the 3 cheap kaiten sushi places I tried, I prefer Uoebi the most. Picture is an aged fugu, according to the menu.

Almost a 1 star, can be called a tourist trap. First of all, it is always packed, and is not worth the wait. I'm a traveling solo, so usually I have priority since I don't need to wait for a huge table, even so it is not worth 5 mins of waiting. And would explain why. They have an automatic system that calls the numbers, and that's cool, but the problem is they have it so loud that it would hurt your ears. Cause people need to be extremely loud, so you can feel the chaos. What about the food? Well food is below average, you can get way better sushi at the same price point, don't expect quality. And the price is normal, but some items for the quality are not worth it. You can go to a nice restaurant, with awards and spend less than $20 in a lunch. In conclusion, go just to have the experience but not expect that much. But if you can skip it, do it. Spend that money in a nice restaurant and you would spend the same or even less.
