Great food. The service had highs and lows. Maybe because I’m a foreigner (I lived in Japan 15 years and speak Japanese). Had to ask where to sit? Where to put my bag and coat? Where is the menu and so on. But many of the staff was indeed friendly and they gave a hand warmer as a gift. Some even spoke minimal English. The good was delicious. Read moreWe visited on 01 Dec 705pm for our reservation at 715pm. We were told to wait and this is normal as we understand customers are usually shown to their seats according to their reservation times.
However, when we were called, the lady staff did not address us by our names and instead addressed us as 中国の方。 Where did this assumption come from? Was it how we looked? Was it the way I spoke Japanese? Or was it the family name in the reservation?
This is discriminatory. And by the way, we are not from China. This service level way below Japan’s standards.
