Kyubey Hotel New Otani The Main Branch — Restaurant in Tokyo

Been to Kyubey at Keio Plaza and Ginza. First time in the New Otani Main branch. Perhaps the experience in Keio Plaza and Ginza were overwhelming, this branch was not at the same level. Sushi was served all at the same time. No explanation given. Not asked if we would like the shrimp cooked or raw. Uni was good. No dessert served compared to the other two branches. No after meal tea and warm towels at meal completion. Sushi rice texture was a little hard for 1-2 pieces. Perhaps there were 9 of us. Too...

Dec 2019: ordered the kyubey set (15k yen before tax) which must have included something like 20 different kinds of sushi. top quality in ingredients which were extremely fresh - including a prawn that was still moving on the plate. Had high expectations and it still exceeded expectations. Service was fine, fun sushi chefs, locals were nice. The sushi was good, but a few cuts were inconsistent. Also charged for omakase even though hotel called ahead for a la carte. Paid about $400+ US dollars for 2 adults, a teen (who did eat a lot but no drinks), and 9 year old. We had great sushi at fish market and other areas for way less and better quality.
