I hesitate to use the term ‘typical’ high end Japanese bar, because they all different, but this one shares the warm convivial welcoming spirit that distinguishes the drinking experience in japan. Had a great time, and happy to find don Julian reposado tequila... which we finished off bottle... so bartender had a colleague at nearby bar bring more. That kind of attentive service. Started off as a good experience. Polite bartender, crafted drinks. We expected a pricey bill because of the atmosphere and sophistication but when the bill came we were suprised with an 880 yen “cover charge” per person. This cover charge wasn’t written anywhere; just added in at the end. Frustrating when the cover charge is more expensive...
