Marugame Fresh Noodles shops have artisans with fresh surface techniques, and the noodles they produce are particularly highly regarded. In addition to the standard udon noodles and tempura, Marugame Namaemen offers a varied menu of toppings and arrangements. Pricing at Marugame Seimen is reasonable, especially for bribery charges, and a payroll deduction system has been introduced. On the other hand, some shops and regions can be busy and relationship stressful. The price is about the same as a regular beef bowl and is considered healthy because it comes with vegetables, but the price is high. The mentaiko shirasu bowl with hot spring egg topping is recommended. There is inexpensive makanai for part-time staff, generous terms and conditions, and a system of transport allowances and hourly wage increases. Employees are entitled to paid leave after six months of employment. Social insurance, wedding, maternity and disaster relief are provided. There is also a salary advance payment system, where employees receive up to 80% of their salary and are encouraged to become shop managers. There is a possibility of being transferred and it is difficult to reside at the same address for a long...
Read moreWent here just yesterday at around 2pm, party of 4, of which I was the only one who can speak Japanese. I lined up first and was told by the Japanese staff behind the counter rather angrily that I can’t line up if I don’t order udon first—which was a lie because you can totally buy just tempura if you want to, and I told her I was just there for the tempura. She was like, oh ok. Next in line was my mother, who mistakenly grabbed the plastic stand for udon noodles in bowls instead of the tempura plate, and this same staff person yelled “NO!” at my mother in English and snatched the plastic thing from my mother’s hand. Food-wise? It was cheap and filling but mid tbh, and that staff’s attitude left a bad taste in our mouths, enough for us to never return to this...
Read moreSo delicious, affordable, and filling. We got the meat and egg bukkake udon and tempura. The soup was perfect; not too salty or bland. The meat was soft too. The portions are generous and very filling for the price. You can choose which tempura you'd like (each type is pretty affordable). I highly recommend the squid tempura which is so soft and delicious. I also recommend the lotus tempura.
Service is super quick and easy. They have English on the menu and some of the staff understand English. It's a nice, clean, and quiet atmosphere so it's perfect for a quick lunch. Will definitely come...
