Marushige Izakaya — Restaurant in Tokyo

They don’t even serve an otoshi (mandatory appetizer), and half of the things you try to order are unavailable. The floor staff are extremely rude. I went without a reservation at 5 pm and they told me I had to leave by 7:15 pm. I agreed, but then around 6:30 one of them came and said I had to leave by 6:45 instead. I complained, and another staff member came to sort it out. Meanwhile, the head chef was standing right there listening to everything and still didn’t offer a single word of apology.

When it came time to pay, I asked them to take the otoshi charge off since we never received one. They pointed at a tiny dish that had been used for wasabi and insisted that was the otoshi. After I argued, they finally deducted the charge.

Most of the floor staff are Thai, and they just laugh and joke around with each other while ignoring customers. Absolutely terrible service. Do not, under any circumstances, go...

Cannot offer you a better cost Izakaya in the Akasaka and Akasaka-Mitsuke area. The place is frequented by the younger generation in the area especially by those who work at or related to TBS and Hakuhodo. Food is excellent to go with the wide variety of Sake and Shochu.
