Had an unforgettable sushi experience here. We arrived around 5:40 PM and were the 3rd and 4th diners at the counter. Right away, the atmosphere felt like home—warm, inviting, and comforting. We love finding spots like this.

The husband-and-wife duo running the place? Absolute gems. Their passion and kindness made the whole experience feel so personal. We went with the omakase set, and for the price, the quality was insane. Watching the chef masterfully prepare each piece was mesmerizing, and his wife was right there supporting him every step of the way.

We also ordered fatty tuna as sashimi and nigiri, and the chef, being the legend he is, gave us two different kinds so we could compare and fully enjoy the experience. We even got a sample of firefly squid (never heard of it nor tasted it before). Little details like that just made the night even better.

They both speak a bit of English, which was a nice bonus since our Japanese is minimal (but polite!). I know tipping is not really accepted in Japan, but I had to leave something. The warmth, the experience, and the sheer kindness they showed us—it was impossible not to. Thankfully, they weren’t offended.

Easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. The fish quality and selection are top-tier, would...

Had a great sushi session here last night! This place is truly bang for your buck and it is nice to see a husband and wife team at work. His wife supports the chef so well and it just adds to the whole experience. Rice is in a bucket all the way, so it’s not a place of you are looking for high end sushi which features warm Shari and strong vinegar. You are going for tasty fishes with great flavours and toppings which are really balanced. The Shari is on the lighter side and slightly softer but his fish prep is great. I ordered 2 rounds of the chef Omakase (Each round is 3300¥ with roughly 7-8 items per round and a tamagoyaki, but it really depends on what’s the neta for the day) and I added on 5 more pieces and had a beer for only 10,500yen. Now that’s a great deal! I had to give them a tip because I enjoyed my time so much and as a chef who also runs a one man show sushiya, I have huge respect for husband and wife teams who still have the passion and love in what they do in such a tough...

I didn't have a reservation, so I was lucky with my timing because shortly after, it filled up quickly. The owner and his wife were very friendly and I was greeted and treated warmly. Even though my Japanese is very limited in speaking and non-existent when it is being spoken to me aside from common phrases. The food was great. The chef/owner asked me if there was anything I didn't like which I thought was a very nice touch. I don't know what I don't know, so I just let him surprise me, no disappointments. When I paid for my meal and was walking out the door the owner came outside and talked to me about the anime that was on my shirt. Little did he know I had been having a really difficult time and had been feeling extremely isolated since I got to Japan. That one kind gesture meant the world to me and...

Amazing spot for sushi! They have a 6-piece and 8-piece omakase. They added 2 big pieces of tamago too that was one of my favorites. The scallop, uni, and monkfish were a highlight of our experience. Ask to see what fish they have that day too, we were introduced to halfbeak which we really enjoyed. The owners are super nice & friendly, and speak great english. We enjoyed talking to them and learning more about the fish we were eating. They told us the shop was first opened by his grandfather and passed down through the generations which was really awesome to hear. Overall, fantastic experience and would highly recommend to our friends and anyone looking for a nice sushi restaurant to eat at! FYI, it is cash only so make sure to have some on hand!
