For me it's my spot in Tokyo. Every time I'm around Asakusabashi and want to grab a meal, I'll go to King of Gyoza.
It has THE PERFECT fried chicken, beer refill policy (you order a refill and not a second beer and it's cheaper), perfectly cooked rice and great Gyoza.
Every time I'm here, I have a meal with 1000-1500¥ for foods and alcohol, and I'm really full.
The only things you should be aware are the lines during launch/dinner time and the garlic the cooks use in their recipes, if you don't like it or makes your stomach upset. I love garlic, so I love...

This is one of the branches of the nationwide gyoza chain "Gyoza no Ohsho", located directly under the elevated tracks near Asakusabashi Station on the JR Sobu Line. Like many other locations, it tends to be quite crowded regardless of the day, especially around lunchtime, when lines often form outside the restaurant. Many customers also stop by for takeout. Although there are a decent number of staff, they all appear to be extremely busy cooking and serving, so it may take a while for your dish to arrive after ordering. If you're in a hurry, it's best to avoid peak lunch and dinner hours. For dine-in, solo male diners seem to be the majority. However, during my visit, some customers had rather poor manners, making the dining experience less comfortable. (That said, the staff's service, while somewhat brisk, wasn’t unpleasant overall.) Because of this atmosphere, I wouldn't recommend dining in if you're traveling with small children. The restaurant is located on the ground floor, and although there are few steps, the entrance door must be opened manually, which may make it inconvenient for wheelchair users or those with...
Read moreThe garlic gyoza was the highlight of the meal—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with bold garlic flavor. Each bite was incredibly satisfying, making it easily one of the best dishes we had. Definitely a must-try.
While the ramen, fried rice, and Tianjin rice (which was similar to omurice) were just okay for me, they weren’t bad by any means. The flavors were mild, and while they didn’t particularly stand out, others might enjoy them depending on their preferences.
Overall, the meal was decent, but the garlic gyoza was...
