In short, we were completely disappointed with this restaurant and do not recommend anyone visiting.
More details: We are a family of four and reserved two 7,500 yen lunch sets through Tabelog. Since we were traveling with children, we were seated at the tables (non sushi counter) on the second floor. We did not realize that there were no a la carte options, so we asked to order two extra sets for the children. We were told it would take 15-20 minutes.
First negative: The first two sets of sushi arrived first, and it was obvious that the sushi had been prepared beforehand and placed in the fridge. The rice and fish were cold and hard, and it did not taste like it was prepared on the spot. (We have lived in Japan before and frequented many other sushi restaurants, so we can tell the difference.)
Second negative: The two sets we ordered later arrived one hour later! (not the promised 15-20 minutes). We think the sushi chef had to cater to the sushi bar customers first before preparing our second sets. They should have informed us of this beforehand instead of having us wait for an hour. Additionally, confirming my first point, this set of sushi tasted much better since it was freshly prepared.
In summary, for this price range, pre-prepared sushi is totally unacceptable. It may be a different experience at the sushi counter, but this has to do with the ethics of restaurant serving subpar quality food to customers, so we caution anyone visiting...
Read moreBetween 2016-2020, the restaurant was a good one and had good ratings on Tabelog. Even though it still had fairly decent rating on Tabelog (3.72 at time of writing), the standard was far from the rating.
We had a 19800yen omakase set. There were no otsumami/appetizers within the meal, and were served the same cut of tuna multiple times. At 20k yen (which is considered fairly upscale), this was really really very very disappointing. I know since I had visited many other premium sushi restaurants.
I am so disappointed I am essentially speechless. How far the restaurant has fallen.

Shari - Lacks acidity and in fact a little bit sweet. I didnt mind the slight sweetness as I found it unique. But not sure if edomae sushi should shari which acidity is so low.
Repetition of dish - the red meat/赤身 of tuna was repeated twice. There was so heavy use of tuna and lack of variety of other fishes
taste - decent but definitely not anywhere close to being worth 20k yen. I would consider if it were 10-12k yen.
Chef - poor service and unattentive. Did not proactively mention the name of the fish when serving. Had to ask several times. His heart did not seemed to be in it.
Try other sushi like Ryuujiro, Hashimoto or sushidokoro Yamato (20k yen only but much more amazing) or Sushi endo.
