I'll try to give honest reviews and feedback. I'll try not to over-proud.
Let's start with the food. It was delicious. I ordered Bebek Goreng and Ayam Bakar. Both were delicious and the portion was generous! Nothing I can't complain about. The portion was huge. I like it. Since I'm a huge portion eater. It was pricey! Very pricey! But hey, I'm willing to pay that price anyway. Nothing more expensive than getting homesick anyway. They also provide free refills for rice!
Let's continue with the Service and Atmosphere. Honestly, I don't think it was a good representative for Indonesians in Japan.
Go at the weekends or the peak hours to know about the true atmosphere there. Waiting in line was never a problem for me, especially knowing that it was a common thing in Japan. But you know lots of Indonesians are smokers. So they polluted the good quality of air in Tokyo with their smoke. And they not only do that, of course, they will litter. So the image of this restaurant was very dirty. Compared to their adjacent shop. They should clean up more often.
The service wasn't their best either. But they're friendly. But you don't get to be friendly all the time to provide good service. You might have forgotten about certain aspects of bad services because of the friendly vibes. But that shouldn't be the default.
For example, they can ask you to move seats to provide a larger number of customers. So both of you have to join the other customer's table, so other customers of 4 people can use your previous table. That's okay I guess, because of the friendly vibes! But I don't think that should be done. Will they do it to non-Indonesians? I hope not!
I hope they get to be as successful as ever! I definitely will...
Read moreJust as we finished watching the sunset at the park and heading to our accommodations, then we felt hungry. Luckily, when we saw on Google Maps there was an Indonesian restaurant just across the street.
The place is unique as the entrance looks like an authentic Indonesian warung. They really sell some Indonesian snacks and others!
The food also looks really tasty but I opted for the Geprek Chicken with a spicy sambal.
They have this free refill for the rice, so it's kinda a win for the travelers. However, the original portion already looks like a beast portion. So, I couldn't get my free refill rice.
In this restaurant, you have a very small place to pray (salah). A room with only fit for one person. For the ablution, you have to struggle a bit and get it at the wastafel in the toilet.
Last but not least, the people are very friendly and sometimes they talk with the customers to check whether you are satisfied enough with their...

Hoping to eat rendang, but there was no rendang! So instead I ordered chicken. I thought it was normal Ayam Bakar, but the staff wrote 'Ayam Rica'. I cannot eat spicy so....... wondering if it would be too spicy for me.
The food came with cracker, some salad (was it urap hmm), noodle, half salted duck egg, soup, and 'kobokan' for washing hand. Actually the chicken is really good. So juicy and well-seasoned. But yes it's quite spicy for me.
That day, there were pete, paru, duck, tempe, kering tempe, fish dishes, etc sitting in the display case.
Pros: staff were nice, free rice refill, selling Indonesian spices and product as well --and less expensive than other Indonesian/Asian grocery store.
Cons: quite pricey, order system is quite confusing (I know it's warteg style, but still), please put dish name, quite troublesome to ask what is inside the dish one by one...
