Their large overhead billboard sign shining down bright draws you in. If not, it's the small plastic wrapped stuffed chickens stuffed around the windows. When we arrived, we thought there would be a wait because 6 people were waiting inside. They were all take-out. The tables are all dark colored. They sat us at their best table- in the back, right under their tv blasting kpop music videos. Immediately, the waitress put one small black plastic cup on the table with 4 shrimp chips in it. My big kid ate it. The menu wasn't in English so I had to rely on pictures and Google translate. After perusing the large Korean food menu, we pushed the button and it actually rang loudly. The waitress came & we ordered the boneless double chicken, where you get to choose 2 flavors (3035 yen). The cheese flavor was the best. The soy sauce chicken was a bit sweet. It came with 4 pieces of dry rice cake with an orange sauce & 2 other unmemorable sides. Why the boneless was cheaper I don't know. We also ordered a salad as our token vegetable. The salad was drenched in dressing though but still good (640 yen). We realized after we ordered that the other tables had water. We had none & we were thirsty after walking in the humidity. We didn't see any set up for us to retrieve, so pushing the button again. That's when we got water. Our food came fairly quickly and there was enough chicken for a family, too much, that I had to ask for a takeout container. The waitress made sure to bring me a receipt where she charged for the container. I paid for it. I'm not putting the chicken in my pockets to take back to the hotel. Then we got the bill & I was flabbergasted that they also charged us 600 yen extra for 4 shrimp chips I never ordered. They list it as an appetizer but I would have rather had another salad. I believe they are price gouging unsuspecting tourists. If not for Google translate, I would not have known what the charge was even for! I’ve been to multiple restaurants in Tokyo and this is the only place with surprises on your bill. I won't come here again. Sketchy! I did read on the web that it is a common Japanese practice for izakayas to give you whatever little food thing they prepare with your beer. This is a chicken restaurant not an izakaya bar. Now, we know why there was a line to do take out. They don’t want to pay for shrimp...
Read moreThe taste is there but none can find in the service.
I know a bit of Japanese but we still practice so I end up need to ask staff that do they have water cause my husband doesn't want to eat other drinks.
The staff kept telling that they don't have water, so we ended up order OOlong tea cause we think they are really have none. Apparently that they serve a cup of water to other tables, I ping the button to ask staff but no one came to my table.
Also, they served you with an appertizer which in the end you will know that you need to pay 200 yen per each. Since this is my first time going there so I lack of knowladge that we need to pay for what we didn't order.
Even I try to ask staff to slow her Japanese down (because she didn't speak Eng at all) she still didn't follow and just speak really fast so I gave up and just let it go.
I was so dissapointed. The food took 30-45mins to order (chicken).
It all happended yesterday, considered this will be my last time to this store. I...
Read moreI came in as one person and was seated immediately. The service started off okay. But when I ordered the waitress laughed. I’m alone but wanted to try the 먹방 세트. Am I not allowed to? Anyway I’m paying for it, so why is it any of her business?
About 45 minutes in (it took over 20 minutes for the food to come out so I had barely started eating), a group of 3 people came in. They asked me to give up my seat. I was happily enjoying my meal until then. It completely ruined my mood. I didn’t even want to eat anymore. Sure, 3 people can order more than 1, but I was already seated and eating. I wasn’t the one who sat me at this table.
So, they’ll make fun of you for ordering an unusual amount and will make you move if there’s an opportunity to make more money. Rude “service”.
Edit: I realized later when I went to find the restroom, there’s an entire 2nd floor that was completely empty. They had no reason to make me...
