Worst staff and attitude and booking management of all times. If you wanna make an online booking, be warned.
I have ordered take away and eat in many times and think the food here is good. So I wanted bring my colleagues to have a taste of hong kong food.
This time I made a reservation through tabelog for 26 people for dinner more than 1 week before. The reservation was confirmed right away. When we arrive at the restaurant today, the staff told us the booking was canceled.
We were shocked and do not understand why a confirmed booking is canceled.
So we said that if they cancel a confirmed booking, they should have call us and why we didn’t receive any phone calls from them.
The staff was having a really bad attitude was telling us off that because we book it online so when they cancel they only send an email, and lecturing us that it’s not their fault and it’s our fault that we should have check our email.
And no apologies from the staff.
To the management of this restaurant, if you have to cancel a CONFIRMED booking, it does not matter if it’s online or not, please have the courtesy to make a phone call to let your customer know about it. Your customers could be busy at work and do not have time to check their personal email to see if a CONFIRMED booking is being canceled.
And on the spot i had to find another restaurant to accommodate 26 people. This is a joke. Never...
Read moreThe short: mostly hits, some misses.
The long: was a bit worried about the recent one star review, but really wanted some dim sum so decided to try anyway and was pleasantly surprised!
The har gow is some of the best we’ve had in Tokyo. And we’ve searched ALOT. The siu mai and other dim sum were also very good. And the mushroom soup was excellent!
There were a couple of misses though.
The char siu was very disappointing, not like the photo on the menu at all. the meat was a bit overcooked, tough and dry, there were no “roasted char marks”. The sauce was also very runny. See the photos between the menu and what we got.
The cheung fun was also a bit dry, tough, and lackluster.
I would say for the things they didn’t do well they were below average maybe 2-3 stars. But for the things they did do well, the quality was some of the best in the area, 5 stars.
So I’ll definitely come back again but probably stick to the things I know they’re good at.
And as for the poor review someone gave for delivery - I don’t see what’s the point of getting dim sum as delivery….?!
Oh the deserts we had were also good. The mango pudding and annindofu but perhaps a bit on the thicker side than I’ve seen at other...
Read moreAte here a few times and it has always been tasty and authentic. Today on the 1st December, I ordered some food for take out. Reached home few minutes later, everything looks good and tasty as usual.
I ordered the shrimp dumpling, took a bite and it has WEIRD texture. I took another piece, bite in half and it looks like the shrimp is still pretty RAW, as it's still looks grey. I microwaved the other half that I took a bite off to see if it's really raw or not but unfortunately it cooked all the way and tasted like how it supposed to be.
It's the first time that I ate raw shrimp and from this shop too. That's a very surprising mistake from dim sum place.
The rest of the food tasted good as usual tho. I wonder if it's because it's Sunday and they are very busy, so they rushed things getting done and steamed. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed, and hope everyone checked their food before consuming it. I hope I don't get food poisoning from raw shrimp in shrimp dumpling.
Also the cashier lady is not very good with customer service as I was ordering on the 30th November, she cut me of in the middle of ordering and told me my total payment Without asking if that's everything or not, I feel...
