For transparency I’m going to preface with that I didn’t end up actually staying to eat. For what it’s worth, the food did look presentable but I unfortunately didn’t get a chance to try any.
Service:
I came in on a weekend and the restaurant was packed, which is usually a good sign. Due to reservations I was told that I’d have to eat within an hour before the next table came in, which was fine, but when I got to the table I was told I had to order by QR code and it didn’t work about 10 minutes.
After the QR was finally able to load, it turned out that the lunch only menu had like 4 items and all the a la cart menus had to be order via the waiter. Fine, I have no problem with talking to a human. But when I went to order a la cart, the waiter said that it would take awhile to prepare. At that point I’d been at the restaurant for almost 20 minutes. At that point I just decided to leave.
Cleanliness:
While I was waiting for a table, I observed the waiter clearing a table by sticking his fingers into some cups in a “warriors come out to play” fashion, then proceed to set a new table without washing his hand and then go on to serve meals…
In general the store had a sticky feel and unfortunately the cutlery I received was dirty. I was only briefly able to look into the kitchen, but it also seemed to a bit...
Read moreI visited this Indonesian restaurant with my family on April 5, 2025, to enjoy some traditional Indonesian dishes. We ordered:
Nasi Padang
Mie Ayam
Rawon (Beef Black Soup)
✨ Food Review: The dishes were delicious, especially the Rawon, which had a rich and satisfying flavor.
🚫 Drink Policy Concern: One downside was the restaurant’s mandatory drink policy — each person must order a drink.
The drinks cost 450 yen, but their quality didn’t match the price.
We tried the pineapple drink and jasmine juice, both of which were disappointing in taste.
For reference, jasmine tea usually costs around 100–120 yen (my opinion), and the drinks served here felt overpriced.
🏡 Ambience & Location:
The environment is cozy and suitable for families and friends.
The restaurant is located about 400 meters from Meguro Station, making it a...
Read moreThis is my first review of any restaurant. If zero stars was an option, I would give it 0 stars. This was my first time to Tokyo. I went to a couple other Indonesian restaurants before this one (I was born and raised in Indonesia) and never had a terrible experience like this. I went there with my husband (he already ate) and just wanted to order food for myself. After we were seated, they said my husband wasn’t allowed to sit with me unless he ordered something and that he needed to leave. There were a lot of seats open (only like 8 people inside). I was so disappointed that I had to eat alone. At least put up a sign up to warn people about this policy. I ordered the rendang and it was mostly sauce with barely any meat in it. Not...
