Meguro Mitsuboshi Shokudo — Restaurant in Tokyo

We really liked this place. I saw there were some reviews about rude staff, but we did not experience that. Everyone there was very kind. It's definitely a mom & pop shop, serving local residents and not a ton of tourists. They didn't speak a ton of English and the menus are all in Japanese, so maybe that was causing issues for other people... I'm not sure. I think people should give it a try and support local businesses like this one.

On to the food... the omurice plates are pretty big even for the small size, but they are delicious, so I'm sure you'll have no problem clearing the plate. Their vegetable curry plate was also very tasty, and we really liked the eggplant/fried egg that was included.

Highly recommended! Tried on Ketchup Omurice, simply because the next table customer seems much enjoying. And yes! It's superb! No regret! First bite and the egg just melted in my mouth! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 Rice portion is slightly big for female, but will able to finish it because it's reallytasty... Warmth environment as it runs on family basis. Customers just entered and lady boss /boss welcome and start chatting. So sad that I cannot speak in Japanese 😥 Anyhow do note that Cash only...

Imagine walking into a small restaurant where your grandmother is making aromatic home cooked curry. Now add in another Japanese grandma or two, and that's what you have here. The food here is so simple and so good. No English menu - but not a huge problem. The menu isn't huge, a veggie, seafood, and pork option are about it. Three different sizes for each - I'd recommend the small if you plan on being productive in the afternoon. Cash only. Small groups only - mostly bar...
