I had the best spaghetti in 1,5 months while solotravelling in Asia.
If you are in Tokyo and you want a very good spaghetti bolognaise (the one I missed so much while travelling) don’t miss this adres!
The waitress and the cook were superfriendly. Although they don’t speak that well english, the waitress used google translate and we were able to communicate perfectly.
I just showed a picture of the pasta I wanted (based on the picture of their restaurant on google).
They put pepper ok the pasta who is kind of weird on a bolognaise sauce but I surprisingly liked it. If you don’t want it you could ask without. The portion of the pasta is big compared to other pasta’s I have eaten in Tokyo.
I also ordered a glass of wine. The waitress suggested me Chardonnay and the wine was good.
The atmosphere is typical Japanese. So not very social with others. But that you have to get used to when in Japan. The place was also not so big.
At the end I received a Tiramisu as dessert without even asking so friendly and it was very good.
Total price 2.200 Yen (14 euro for a delicious meal and very kind people). I will go back for sure when I’m...
Read moreGood food with a strong French influence. Far from authentic in many ways, still tasty and good value for money. The fish was cooked very nicely. Appetizers are a wild mixture of cured meats in French at Italian style, unfortunately served with not enough bread, Rye bread is by the way also pretty uncommon for Italy. Maybe the staff should travel together for a bit. Wine is served at the wrong temperature - the red wine is way too cold. The Nero d‘Avola was very good, the Romanian Pinot Noir was terrible. Unfortunately, the dishes were brought out in a terribly slow pace, from start to finish it was over 2 hours for 5 courses. Only 1 chef cooking in a restaurant with 15 or so seats. No dessert was served. All in all, I have mixed feelings, but the staff really tried hard and were very friendly. There is a lot of room for improvement, but at this price, you can‘t...
Read moreI had a beautiful experience at Piccolo Sole. I’m a solo traveler who went for dinner on a whim (I saw it as I was walking back to my hotel). I was warmly greeted by the hostess of the restaurant. After sitting down and the chef realized that I did not speak Japanese, he confirmed my order with me in English. The food was Superb! I also had a ginger ale. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a non-alcoholic options! My entire meal was ¥2400 which is about $15USD. This is a steal for such delicious food and excellent service. I would...
