Most food was great and price was reasonable. They had weekend lunch specials. However, the quantity of the pasta was far from normal serving sizing. I upgraded both pizza and pasta but the pasta felt much less than a one person serving size, I wonder how small it would have been without an upgrade... Saying that, upgrades were for a reasonable price (I think it was 300 yen). Most of the menu was Japanazed, did not have much variety of Italian (Western) flavours. Not recommended for those wanting western meals who do not like seafood or tomato bases. I was still hungry after the meal. Being not full in Japan occurs regularly as I'm a big eater and I'm used to that, but still hungry after a full course has never happened before. Pizza was one of the best I have had in this country. All cheeses were fantastic, much better than other Italian restaurants. However, the pasta was over cooked, from my perspective... Japan tend to enjoy any pasta dishes to be over cooked like ramen or all other noodles. "Al Dante" is very hard to find and I miss it very much. Tiramisu was not Italian but still very tasty and very rich. The creme brulee was an ice cream instead of a custard and the top layer of caramelized sugar was just a sprinkled soft sugar. Worst I have ever had in my life and not the way I would have liked to end a nice meal. What annoyed me the most were wait staff being far from attentive of any customers and chit chatting amongst themselves at all times like that was their job (rather than checking on customers etc). They served anything that was ready regardless of whether we have finished or not which meant excessive plates on the table and food going cold. I felt like they were rushing us to eat faster to be out even though there were plenty of empty seats. Only the pizza chef himself was engaging with customers and even serving drinks as wait staff were not near the floor area most of the time and, even if they were, I often heard their laughing voices out loud clearly not paying attention. Not something I would expect when staff are supposed to be working. I have been to different Aoyama branches a number of times and the wait staff always seem to be very rude and arrogant to the point you cannot believe what just have happened. This branch was...
Read moreListen to me right now. If you are in Toshima city, this is a must visit. I’m not exaggerating, this is some of the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’ve been to Italy, and it wasn’t this good. Delicious truffle fettuccine, delectable Margarita premium pizza, wonderful oil and phenomenal fresh Parmesan cheese. Excellent service, by the way, as there was even a waitress that spoke perfect English named azalea, who had 10/10 customer care. She brought us chili oil and took each dish out one at time, serving us with kindness and generosity. Please stop in this restaurant! You won’t regret it. If I could give it 6/5...
