Two Fingers — Restaurant in Tokyo

This place is a must visit if you are passionate about craft beer. Could not fit it into my schedule last year, ( a mistake ) but so happy I was able to visit this time. It’s a small place but you are immediately made to feel welcome. Stef is very engaging and gives you a complete lowdown on all the beers on tap. They had 7-8 beers on tap on the night I went. Started with a two fingers ipa, it had a strong hop profile but was only 5% Abv. They had the the adjective crushable in the description, which was how I would describe it. Could have drank a bunch and still felt gd. They had a few Japanese craft on tap that Stef felt were worthy and he was correct. The ink horn ipa was also delicious. My wife had the helles and was very happy. The gyoza is a Must and the spicy meatballs was also a hit. As an avid ipa drinker in the USA, I had been everywhere from Treehouse to Russian River, and know a fantastic craft spot when I seen it. It’s less than 15 mins from Ikebukuro station, as Stef said that’s not too far if someone really knows their beer, and he is correct. Great atmosphere with friendly staff! They take their craft beer seriously but they also know how to have fun. Their beers are delicious, their side dishes as well. I ordered the cheese platter with crackers and prosciutto.

The place is not that big but enough to accommodate groups. You can sit at the counter and chat with the owners. I'm a craft beer novice and I really appreciate all the input. They offer different kinds of beer, you can order a pint or half-pint.

Definitely a place where you can take your friends or colleagues to hang out or relax and have beer.

Great crate beer place, gaijin friendly in Ikebukuro. We went because of a friend, and it turned out great.

As you can expect in Tokyo, it is small (max 10-11 people), but since we went on a weekday, there were no time limit and the owner would give recommendations on the beer, but still you would see natives coming from time to time. Recommended if you are looking for somewhere chill to take different kinds of beer but want someone to understand you fully. When we are back in Tokyo...
