Pretty decent NY-style pizza in Tokyo and so, i would compare this with Pizza Slice. We liked the sauce particularly, as it wasn't too sweet (Pizza Slice) and more of a salty and spicy type. I liked that they cut back on the cheese for a pepperoni pizza - you could see some of the sauce coming through the cheese and it wasn't greasy. The crust could have used more time in the oven and more rotating- most of it was a bit soft and a small part had some crisp to it. On the contrary, Pizza Slice nails the crust perfectly every time we have been to each of their three locations near us. Also, be prepared for Tokyo prices @ $44 for the whole pepperoni pizza, even though it was good sized. I want to say Pizza Slice is considerably cheaper. If Pizzanista could get their crust more consistent and like Pizza Slice's, we would probably go back and pay...

We made it to Pizzanista! in Shibuya today, its near the Trunk Hotel on Cat Street. We had a veggie slice and a Tokyo slice. I'm from L.A., and its not what I would call an exemplar L.A. style pizza, but it was delicious. The crust was thin under the toppings and thick on the edge per an L.A. pizza. The crust had good flavor and crunch. We both felt sauce and cheese were sparse., although the sauce had a very good sweet, tangy, tomato flavor. I really liked the red onion on the veggie and my dh liked the pork belly and egg combo on the Tokyo. We had to wait in line when we got there at 13:30, but the line was gone by 13:45. There is one spot to eat outside. I recommend and will stop by again....

PIZZANISTA! Tokyo isn't your average pizzeria, and that's part of its charm! This place has a fun, rebellious West Coast spirit with loud music and a menu that pushes boundaries.

Their signature macaroni pizza is a must-try. It sounds like an odd combo, but trust me, it works! The creamy mac and cheese is surprisingly delicious on their chewy, flavorful crust. It's the ultimate comfort food with a unique twist.

Even their classic pepperoni is a winner. The slices are HUGE, perfect for folding New York-style, and the pepperoni has a nice, crispy edge.

The wait can occasionally be a bit long, but the lively atmosphere and one-of-a-kind flavors at PIZZANISTA! Tokyo make it worthwhile for a fun...
