Pizzeria D'oro ROMA — Restaurant in Tokyo

Waited 30 minutes for a table. Our non Japanese last name written in English was called in Japanese. We were the only non looking Asian family waiting. The host didn’t hear a response and walked away 🤦🏽‍♀️ I don’t understand why he didn’t use his critical thinking skills to put the obvious together.

I ordered the bolognese. It was only seasoned with salt so I didn’t eat all of it. It was disappointing. My husband ordered mushroom cream pasta. It was good. We also ordered a margherita pizza, caprese salad, and a small salad. All were good. The lemon...

Our experience in terms of taste was really bad. We have ordered for lunch set in which salad, pasta and pizza was there. It came with salad in which very less dressing was there but still I would say it was decent. Pasta was pathetic, as tomato was not at all cooked and it was bland. We were hoping for at least pizza would be great as the name of the shop says, however we left our pizza 80% on the plate as base was uneven and no taste at all.

Hope we will never have to visit...

All things considered, the food is decent here. I had the pasta with shrimp at 1,500 JPY for dinner and was quite happy with the taste. Even the spaghetti were al dente.

Of course, you cannot expect an excellent Italian meal, especially since the recipes seem to be slightly modified for the Japanese taste. But at around 10-12 USD you get a decent meal.
