This place like playing jazz LOUD! Real loud! If you like this way, it’s a heaven! It happens I like this🤪 This place shows an interesting compromise approach to speaker placement often seen in jazz kissa in Japan. First of all it’s a very long room. The owner set up a drum set and piano at one end of the long room so they can have live performance. The owner then set up the speakers in the middle of the long room, with both speakers close to each other. This isn’t what many audiophiles will do since they tend to place speakers far apart to achieve a bigger soundstage. But in Japan, it’s quite common to save space. This approach will present many instruments in the recordings very close together, and if you sit close and facing the speakers like I did, you will be like, listening to a gigantic headphone but of course way much a better immersive experience. Since the speakers are placed at the long side, there is no sidewall reflection issues. So its strength is focusing on reproducing the timbres of instruments up front. I enjoyed this approach for two hours! You can however sit not in front of the speakers and the music would be less loud but you listen to the room more than direct sound from the speakers.
