Ramen Garon — Restaurant in Tokyo

I dont understand why this restaurant could get 4.2 star in overall. The soup is so salty and just a so-so soy sauce. The staff didnt even introduce (say the name) that the ramen ordered, we ordered one special soup, one normal soup but they looked exactly the same so we really cant tell. We never tried japanese raman at counter bar like this. Also the vendor machine was putting in the very inconvenient part, you have to squeeze yourself and passing three customers and their hanging bags to get your ticket... Last but not least, we got the ticket of non-alcoholic beer from vendor machine but turned out they served us BEER!! and told us there has no non-alcoholic in their restaurant. What???

I think the staff at the ramen bar was so unfriendly, i could understand usually japanese might be shy to speak english but the staff is actually dont wanna say one word to us.

The bad ever ramen experience we have had so far but if you just want to fill up your stomach, the portion is no...

Spur of the moment decision, we found Ramen Garon as we were strolling along Golden Gai. There is a bar upstairs but the ramen is downstairs through the small alley.

As many ramen places, you choose at the machine, get a receipt and that is your order. Really simple and efficient system !

Really good ramen, taste was clean and bright, nothing greasy or too salty here (they do not use MSG which is refreshing).

We both like our orders, there is not a lot of garnish but the price is reasonable. Service was both quick and impersonal, nothing negative, just very unassuming.

If in Golden Gai, this is a great option for a quick quality ramen, early evening or late-night, when in a hurry to get somewhere else. Cool Golden Gai atmosphere inside.

少し外を歩いただけでジワッと汗がにじむ。 普段なら嫌がることも、こうも久しぶりに体感すると、なんだが嬉しさの方が大きい様な気がした。

私は自転車に跨る。 今日も今日とて、私はラーメンを食べに行く。
