I was wandering around Shinjuku today looking for a place to eat. The smell of delicious food caught my attention as i passed by and i knew i had to go in. I am so glad i did. The super friendly staff did not speak much English but they had an English menu and pointing at the items worked just fine. I had not been able to check into my hostel yet and they were kind enough to let me put my luggage behind the register while I ate. I ordered the Tonkotsu and was blown away by the quality. It is by far the best Tonkotsu i have had in japan over the last 5 weeks and i have eaten ramen almost every day i have been here. The broth was very rich and full of wonderful flavors. The chashu was melt in your mouth tender and incredibly savory. It was so good I ordered a second helping of noodles just so i could savor the dish longer. The next time I go i plan on ordering the Chashu bowl which is the Tonkotsu with extra chashu. If you love ramen and find yourself in Shinjuku definitely make your way here!

Was a bit secluded and having to walk past all the adult stores was quite a treat for me but not for my family, lol. Ramen is good. Definitely one of the few top ones I’ve tasted. Comes with a variety of toppings to add on. We ordered the original and we get to choose thickness of the soup and noodle. Took the rich and super rich. Only difference is the flavour being saltier with the super rich and there’s more fat in it. Also chose both thick and thin noodle. Thin noodle works well with less richer base as there’s more surface to coat the soup. If you’re looking to have a super strong super thick flavour. Go super rich with thin noodle like what we did. Lastly, the place is spacious and clean. The price is also reasonable. Under ¥1000 for a bowl. Yum!

Wow! What a culinary trip. This bowl of ramen is so tasty! The broth is deep in flavour and has a well balanced spicyness. Strongly recommend if you are in Shinjuku. Staff is kind as well. ♥️ You order the food first and then you enter the restaurant and the staff will show you to your table. Restaurant is open 24/7 and cater to all hard working people in the area. From time to time tourists enter, like us. We had some spicy tonkotsu ramen, this place is all about tonkotsu and then you can also order some side dishes if you feel for it like, Gyoza. We ordered also some fried chicken as a side dish, YOU have to taste the chicken. It was splendid! We have been talking about coming back just to eat the chicken... ♥️

There are so many ramen joints in Japan that its just a matter of individual taste. The soup here is thicker and richer compared to the very popular Ichiran ramen. A little saltier for my taste but its sure is a good change of taste if you have the time and have stopped by Ichiran!! The one thing I absolutely love is the Pork here. The pork chasyu is hands down better than many places i’ve been to. Its tender and has that sweet flavours. I think if you happen to be in the area and have done your ramen bucket list you should stop by for a taste!!!

We walked around and looked for something to eat around 11 pm. This area will be a good choice to come for a late dinner. Except for izakaya, you have ramon, yakiniku, and bars to go. Zundou is one of the restaurants open late; it opens 24 hours. 24 hours! There’s no better place to have ramen than Tokyo! You can eat ramen anytime you want! It’s just as good as what I thought it would be. I haven’t had any bad ramen in Japan.

I spend my short vacation with my fiance in the hotel premium capsule at near in zundouya ramen restaurant..for the first time i order in bending machine but my fiance do order for me cause wakaranai how to read japanese word sorry but its true😆you know what zundouya is ichibang the best ramen for me..hopefully i meet again this restaurant in any place in mieken hopefully soon i missed already that ramen super🥰
