A Delightful Escape: Review of SAISON bakery&coffee SAISON bakery&coffee is a true gem, offering a wonderful blend of freshly baked goods and a cozy café atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for a quick coffee and pastry or settling in for a leisurely brunch, this spot consistently delivers. One of the first things you'll notice is the stunning array of baked goods. From flaky croissants and decadent tarts to savory focaccias and beautiful cakes, everything is meticulously crafted and looks as good as it tastes. Their sourdough bread is a particular highlight, with a perfect crust and a tender, airy interior. It's clear that quality ingredients and skilled hands are at play here. The coffee selection is equally impressive, with expertly brewed espresso drinks and pour-overs that perfectly complement their pastries. It’s the kind of place where you can genuinely taste the care in every cup. Beyond the delicious food and drink, SAISON bakery&coffee offers a charming and inviting ambiance. The space is often bustling, yet manages to feel comfortable and relaxed, making it ideal for catching up with friends, getting some work done, or simply enjoying a moment of peace. While it can get quite busy, especially during peak hours, the service remains efficient and friendly. The staff are knowledgeable about their products and happy to offer recommendations. What to try: Avocado Tartine: A popular choice featuring creamy guacamole on tangy sourdough, often with refreshing lemon and a pleasant nutty crunch. Croissants: A classic for a reason; their execution is superb. Any of their seasonal tarts or cakes: Always fresh and visually appealing. If you're looking for a delightful bakery and coffee experience that combines exceptional quality with a welcoming atmosphere, SAISON bakery&coffee is an absolute must-visit. It's a place that leaves you feeling satisfied and eager to return. Have you had a chance to visit SAISON bakery&coffee, or are you looking for other bakery recommendations...

4 days in Tokyo, my favorite cafe, open from 7 AM to 7 PM with an open kitchen and bakery. Open every day.

The storefront isn't flashy, more like a corner cafe you stumble upon. Very chill vibe from the outside. Visited 3 times in 4 days: twice for breakfast, once for afternoon tea. The chef was consistent, a dedicated young spirit each time.

On my first visit, a mirror behind me read: "Start your day with a good breakfast that puts a smile on your face, even on a rainy day." It made me smile because I had just walked in from a rainy day.

The hot breakfast was touching. Their open sandwich with avocado and poached egg was the best, topped with crushed cashews over avocado spread, and perfectly poached egg yolk oozing out over mint-green avocado sauce.

The French toast was pure bliss. I watched the chef meticulously cook it: first heating butter in a pan, rolling the toast in it, frying, then finishing in the oven. Patience required, but the result was worth it—a whole pat of butter, a cinnamon stick, and sprinkled nuts and powdered sugar. The calories were a mystery, but happiness was undeniable—cutting it open released melted butter that was just pure bliss.

The omelette was tender, perfectly cooked outside with a tender inside. I often sat in the same spot, watching the chef expertly roll the omelette in the pan with full-body effort, like a choreographed dance.

The kitchen team's coordination was evident, not just assigned tasks but a seamless collaboration, each seeing and supporting each other’s work without interference. Their sweet smiles and conversations truly embodied the charm of teamwork.

The housemade sausage bun was more complex than reheating—it was a cooking process that surprised me.

The chef was skilled, every order handled confidently and attentively, focused solely on the food. Each time I visited, he wore a different T-shirt, hair clean, dancing around the stove in his apron.

As I bid Tokyo farewell, I silently said goodbye to Saison, until...

During my very first trip to Japan, I was fortunate enough to follow a recommendation that led me to SAISON Bakery & Coffee—and I couldn’t be more grateful. From the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed by a warm and modern atmosphere that immediately made me feel at ease.

The service was outstanding. The staff were not only friendly but also genuinely attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. My order was prepared quickly, yet with a clear dedication to quality. Each dish was crafted with top-tier ingredients and presented with such precision and care—it truly reflected a level of perfection you don’t often come across.

One of the highlights was watching the bakers at work. Behind the glass, you could see them shaping and baking the breads and pastries with incredible skill and passion. It’s the kind of place that invites you to stay longer than you planned, simply because it feels so authentic and inviting.

If you’re ever in Japan, I can wholeheartedly recommend making time to visit SAISON Bakery & Coffee. It’s more than just a café—it’s an experience...

Hidden gem. We found this place after our second day in Tokyo. Super close to our hotel (JR East Hotel Mets Gotanda). We went twice and have tried a few things: Their scrambled egg with truffle is amazing. Well balanced flavors and not overpowered by the truffle. The avocado and smoked salmon toast was good. Low on salt so you really taste the salmon. We tried one if their signature dishes which is their own take on a french toast. The honey they gave us with it was incredible. The second day we went we tried their traditional omelette (best I’ve ever had) along with their unique Croque Monseiur (clockmonseiur truffle). Lastly I really enjoyed their Philly Cheesesteak toast. The service was great. Everyone super friendly. Menu in english and you order from your phone and pay credit card. It seems to get busy so we went early in the morning on both days. We have yet to try their pastries which look so good as well… who knwos - maybe on the third day we might :)

The hot chocolate was *chefs kiss* (I have made an update on this as I visited again and the turnout was different!) The pastries we tried were a bit dry and lacklustre but I reaaallly enjoyed the hot chocolate! Perfect temperature- not warm, nice and hot! Order from your mobile, so no staff contact. Update 2/11: I went on a Saturday morning and ordered the hot chocolate again- this time it came out and it wasn’t even warm and not thick at all. It was quite liquified like the instant hot chocolate powder sachets you can get at the supermarket… now I don’t know if the first time I went it was an anomaly of a day as it snowed that day and was a weekday but… was disappointing this second time around (also maybe the barista was different?). I also tried the banana muffin this time and it was much nicer than the raw sugar muffin. Much less dry. Would recommend!
