Hey dude, so I hit up this Chinese spot around 2 PM on Friday, right before heading to Tokyo Dome. Gotta fuel up before the game, you know?

I went for the stewed pork and the fried eggplant with salt and pepper, hoping for that perfect balance of sweet and savory. But man, the moment I took my first bite, my expectations just went out the window.

Now, presentation-wise, the pork looked great—like, really well-plated. But the texture? Tough. I mean, I’ve had way better at other Chinese joints. This one? Too chewy, not enjoyable.

The eggplant? Soft, sure, but way too salty. I tried to power through it, but nope—just couldn’t finish. What a letdown.

Now, don’t get me wrong, the place was packed with locals—families, friends, all having a good time. So clearly, it’s got a solid reputation. But for the price? Yeah… I wasn’t sold.

Great bang for your buck! We tried both the Sanratanmen (hot and sour noodle soup) and the Tantanmen. The Sanratanmen had a perfect balance of spicy heat and tangy sourness that really woke up the palate. The Tantanmen was rich, creamy, and nicely spicy with a refreshing zest from the vinegar—full of flavor and very satisfying.

The signature winged gyoza were thick-skinned, generously filled, and the perfect size—crispy at the edges with a great chew. The kakuni chahan was a delicious, well-seasoned carb side. The crushed cucumber pickles offered a refreshing crunch and paired perfectly with a cold beer. The karaage was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

東京ドーム帰りのお客さんの多いためか酔っ払っている団体さんも多いです。 よく一人で行くお店なのですが、味と値段はそれなりに良いです。

ただし、一人で行くと場合によってはカウンター席やボックス席が空いていても予約席だと嘘をつかれます。 カウンター席が二席空いていたのですがそこは予約席と言い、その後すぐにお客さんが離れたボックス席を予約席だからと断った直後に「予約なしだけどいい？」という団体さんに譲られました。 その後に一人でもかまわない程度に空くまで待ちますと言うと、貸切だとでたらめを言いしまいには外に出ろと扉を開けて帰るようにうながすようなジェスチャーをしました。

普段通っているお店でこのようなことは初めてでしたので、なにか悪いことをしたからなのか？と思ったら「今日は一人ダメ」と単に一人客だからという理由だったそうです。 その後、お客さんが空くまで待ちますと伝えて待っていると先ほどまで予約席だと言っていた二席のカウンター席をまるで入ったばかりかのように案内されました。 「そこは予約席ではないのですか？」と尋ねても言葉を濁されて残念です。

いつも食べている定食の味も美味しく感じませんでした。 帰り際に通うのを楽しみにしていたお店だったので今回の対応やサービスはとても残念です。

お酒を飲まれる団体さん以外はあまり歓迎していないようなので少人数、下戸の方はおすすめしません。 不快な思いをしないためにはイベント帰りなどの団体での飲み会を推奨します。
