Clean and relaxing environment, but the featured dish needs work.
I ordered a tomato brisket soup set (2090 yen with tax included). The set came with rice, a kind of bone broth, and two types of pickled vegetables.
The tomato soup was monotonous and cheap-tasting. The taste of ketchup dominated the tomato soup. This made for a soup that was overly bright and simple. Because of the strong ketchup flavour, it was difficult to detect the flavours of other ingredients in the soup, like tomato and onion.
The beef suffered from a lack of quality control. Most pieces of beef brisket were tough and chewy, as if they had not been stewed for long enough, or had been over-stewed. They also tasted quite salty, although your mileage may vary.
In addition, a few pieces of beef had a conspicious gamey taste of animal intestines. Although this taste was partly covered by the salty marinade on the meat and the tart tomato soup, it was still unpleasant.
On the plus side, the environment was comfortable, with good lighting and tasteful furnishings. The decor was like a nice cafe. The furnishings used a cream and light brown wood colour palette overall. The tables were well-spaced out. Soothing music-box tunes played in the store.
In addition, the serving staff were extremely polite, and were fluent in Mandarin and Japanese. I expect that speakers of both languages will find it easy to eat at this restaurant.
Full disclosure: the restaurant offers a 400 yen discount for a review. I wrote this to make the food more worth it, since I was disappointed by the...
Read moreAttitude is absolutely HK. Food is not. I just sat down and the waitress kept asking me to order to order. I didn’t have time to read the menu!!! Then I order one beef, just didn’t have time to say my second choice. She already showed her attitude, it’s like I didn’t order more. The point is I just need some time to process the menu and see what I should order more! The impatience is exactly HK. if you want to try poor HK waitress attitude, it’s the right place.
Also When the lift was open, there were two big piles of rubbish in front of me! I thought they were closing already! It’s was 8pm on Friday. The waitress’ attitude was like she wanted to close for the day but just wanted to shove us the food so that we can leave asap.
Not recommended. Half of tables are empty on Friday at 8pm. The popularity shows the quality of food.
They pay people 400 yen for reviews. See photos.
The food has MSG, it makes you very thirsty...
Read moreA group of individuals from China pretending to be a Hong Kong-based establishment with a Michelin star, has set up a deceitful eatery. The storefront is nicely presented, and they heavily promote their business through social media with sponsored content. However, all the reviews are fabricated, as customers are incentivized with complimentary items or discounts for leaving positive feedback.
Nevertheless, even with the multitude of fake reviews, it fails to conceal the mediocrity of the cuisine itself. The beef dishes are truly ordinary, particularly the spicy variant which tastes like beef boiled with instant seasoning. This is the only somewhat enjoyable item on their menu. If you are unfortunate enough to have ordered other high-priced dishes from this supposedly "specialized" beef cuisine establishment, be prepared for...
