SOOKDAL — Restaurant in Tokyo

A bit bland and forgetable food. You are forced to buy two serving, which is fine as we came in as a couple. But then only recieving one piece of meat for almost 4000¥ is extremely confusing.

The whole situation was confusing and uncomfortable, as the dining "experience" was nothing like what i had tried previously with korean bbq. You don't make the food, they do. This is just expected that you know this is how it works.

I am a foreign tourist that cannot speak japanese. However the place has english translations of the menu outside, which led my decision to try the place. Did not feel welcome, so why even have the english translations...

I come from Singapore. My friend who live in Tokyo told me Shinokubo have a lot of awesome Korean restaurants. Firstly I was so happy that can eat Korean food. But when I entered the restaurant at 21:35, the staff told me sorry the manager said:" now, we have already finished last order."

????, in the post you said 22:00 is the last-order time, and you finished last order at 21:35? Are you kidding me? Why you deceive consumers？

For this restaurant, I will tell all travelers DON’T COME!!!!...

We ordered the pork set bbq and it was delicious, especially the pork belly. It came with 3 kinds of kimchi and other sides which went very well with the meat. The service is courteous and efficient, although little English is spoken and we relied on a friend who speaks Japanese. With a drink each it cost around ¥2000 per person, very good...
