I brought my wife here for her birthday yesterday and we had such a wonderful time!
I had an issue when I first booked online, but we quickly got it resolved and they were very helpful to make sure I was still able to make it for her birthday.
We started at 5:30pm and there was one other couple with us at the counter.
Masatomo-san and his wife Aiko-san were the nicest people and really made the experience special along with the amazing food and drink (seriously delicious sushi and lots of unique dishes).
I've been to quite a few sushi restaurants in Nishiazabu, and Tokyo in general and they were all very good, but the amazing service and hospitality we received here took it to another level and I can't recommend it enough!
The other guests were so nice as well and everyone was really enjoying themselves.
Our reservation was over at 7:50pm (another couple arrived to take our seats) but they weren't ready for us to leave yet, so they asked us to move to the little standing bar where we rejoined the first couple that was there when we arrived.
Food kept coming, my wife got a few extras for her birthday and she was so happy! We had a great time hanging out with our new friends and talking with Aiko-san (she's very passionate about helping those with gluten related issues)!
We ended up leaving at 9pm because we had another engagement, but we certainly felt welcome to stay longer if we could.
If you're looking for an amazing sushi dining experience, just do yourself a favor and come here, seriously like the other review said it's absolutely one of the best sushi spots in Tokyo!
We'll be back for sure...arigatogozaimashita!!!

Read moreWe used to live in Roppongi about ten years ago and have been to many of Tokyo’s Michelin-starred sushi restaurants over the years. But Sushi Korin stands apart not because of stars or hype, but because of something deeper. Chef Masatomo Korin’s way of welcoming you is quiet and unpretentious. You can feel his care in every detail from the way he prepares each piece of sushi, to how he quietly watches over his 10-seat counter. There’s no showmanship here, just a quiet pride and deep respect for tradition. It became the highlight of our short visit to Tokyo. We left feeling moved, not just by the food, but by the atmosphere he creates.
Just one important note: Make sure not to confuse Sushi KORIN with similarly named places nearby. My husband accidentally ended up at a different “Kourin” in Shibuya before realizing the mistake. The real Sushi KORIN is in Nishi-Azabu, just a short walk from the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo. It’s on the 4th floor of a modern building, three doors down from the Nishi-Azabu intersection. There’s no English sign, so it’s easy to miss but head straight to the 4th floor. This place may earn a Michelin star soon, but honestly, it doesn’t need one. To us, it’s already unforgettable. Thank you...
Read moreA truly special dining experience. Masatomo Korin is a master of his craft. His wife and small support team are consummate professionals and you are made to feel at home the moment you arrive. This is serious food delivered with obvious passion and commitment to service in the Japanese tradition; but a relaxed and homely vibe is maintained throughout.
My only complaint about the Omakase experience is that it will unfortunately ruin the sushi I have access to year round! Suffice to say you will be spoiled with round after round of beautifully prepared delights that pack endless amounts of nuance and depth of flavour.
Sake pairings are provided based on Chef’s recommendation and service throughout is attentive without being overbearing. The space is well thought out and huge detail was put into choosing glasses, plates, etc.
Overall we had a wonderful experience, made to feel welcome and valued throughout. I would recommend to both veterans of Michelin star tasting menus and newcomers interested in trying a fine dining experience for the first time.
Note: the entrance is slightly hard to find - you need to go to the 4th floor in a lift...
