Tsukada Nojo Shinjuku South Gate — Restaurant in Tokyo

Tsukadanojo restaurant chain place. It's a chain specialized in miyazaki local food. The interior design is all dark wood and the waitresses wear colorful yukatas, they're usually very young friendly and smiky. There's a very dynamic and energetic atmosphere in all of those restaurants. They have quite a choice of original drinks and sakes, their dishes are good and also quite original. I especially recommend the jidorimomonosumibiyaki (grilled chicken) the fried bacon-wrapped asparagus and the egg yolk on top of mushroom sprouts with sweet soy sauce. We have tried Tsukada Nojo in Kyushu area and it’s one of our favourite restaurant chain for Miyazaki black chicken. This Shinjuku branch didn’t seem to live up to its standard. Food was ok, but not as good as the other Tsukada Nojo, especially the chargrilled black chicken, it tasted under cooked. It’s a great izakaya for eating and drinking with friends. Food is good and there’s a happy and cheerful vibe to the place. Beware that there is a long line to get to the 1 elevator serving this building. We came in a Friday night and waited about 10 min in line for the elevator… I’m not sure if it’s better on the weekday.
