Not sure if lucky or not, still thinking tourist trap but had so many options and just went with something and roulette it out. Inside a small entry way it’s the first store you see as to enter inside. Quite a decent variety of seafood bowls. We picked the varieties we wanted. It did take a while for the food to come and you pay once you order. They do speak mandarin, some English but mostly we just used our broken Japanese and point at stuff. I wouldn’t say my seafood tuna bowl was really the higher quality type, but I would say the other seafood content was definitely fresh so I was content with it, my wife picked one with a higher grade uni and I will say that is legit (comparing to mine) it was sensational and melt in your mouth. Unfortunately they didn’t give much. It’s a tourist price for sure but definitely cheaper than the ones around at some stupid prices. Probs would do more research but we were already walking in circles and tsukiji was PACKED OUT.

Fresh salmon and tuna sashimi and donburi at outer Tsukiji Market. We went there 17 May 2019, ordered salmon and tuna donburi 700Yen (1 egg roll/tamago sashimi, 3 slices of tuna sashimi, 3 slices of salmon sashimi, and big portion of seasoning rice with seaweed flakes), additional topping for hubby as he would like to eat sashimi only without rice (end up he helped me finished my rice as my donburi came with big portion of rice): 3slices of salmon sashimi 300Yen and 3 slices of tuna sashimi 300Yen. The miso soup (free of charge) is also tasty. Cold and hot ocha is complimentary. We went there for lunch, many people eat there but no queue as we faced during my previous visit in 2014 if I'm not mistaken before the tuna auction was moved from Tsukiji Market.

I visited this restaurant in January when I returned to Japan. We went there for breakfast and found it bustling with people, yet there were still open seats available and we were seated immediately. The service was quick and we received our meal in no time. While Tsukiji Outer Market is known for its pricier establishments, this place offers affordable and fresh seafood bowls. For foreigners experiencing Tsukiji Outer Market for the first time, I think you will be quite satisfied with what you find here. Regular visitors who come weekly or monthly might know even better spots, but this is certainly a great choice for first-timers or occasional visitors.

Of my 16 years in Japan this place has the absolute worse service I have ever seen. People were cutting in line, the staff ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. This place is the definition of chaos. If you want to see a circus in Japan, visit this place. Poor excuse of a restaurant and not clean at all. While waiting an hour had 2 of the wait staff step on my foot. Was asked like ten times how many in our party. This place should be used to train restaurant staff personnel worldwide on what not to do. A perfect picture of unprofessionalism. In one word: PATHETIC!!! There are several dozen other sushi restaurants to eat at. Recommend...
