Section L Tsukiji — Hotel in Tokyo

I love this place. We’ve stayed at 4 different places during our trip (hotels, apartment, ryokan) and Section L Ginza East leaves a lasting impression. I would recommend to families, young couples, young friends, elderly, anyone! We were a family of 6 and had 2 appartments booked.

Note that because it is an apartment, room service is not daily like hotels. Be neat, sort your trash, bring it down if you’ve overloaded. It’s not hard to do.

You are provided with free room service on the 3rd day if you stay for longer than 3 days. If you want clean towels you can request for more at a small cost but you can also throw them into the washer where detergent is provided and wash&dry for fresh clean towels. Everything is provided.

To the Section L team, great business model, keep up...

It is located in a side street close to the old fish market. The street looks a bit dodgy as you approach but don't worry this is a great place to stay. We stayed for 9 days in a double queen room. The room was much larger than those at other hotels for the price and was spotlessly clean, modern, well laid out and has everything you might possibly need (fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle, cups, plates, pots, TV, bluetooth speaker, cutlery, lint roller, laundry detergent, slippers, towels, dishcloths, soap, shampoo, tissues, umbrellas to lend etc). The mattress and pillow are firm and that suited me. Duvet very nice ( wish I could take it home). The room is not cleaned unless you arrange it but we liked not being bothered or having to leave at inconvenient times for cleaners. Was very convenient being able to do laundry in the room. Location is great with Metros for several lines easily walkable, many many places to eat, and Seven 11 and Lawsons convenience shops very close. Situated in an Interesting area to just walk around with some little parks close by. Front desk staff speak excellent English and were all super friendly and helpful. I found the internet speed was a little slow now and then (but maybe that was my computer) and there is no real lounge to sit and hang out, but those are trivial quibbles; this is a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely stay...

I had the opportunity to stay at this place with my family for a few days. It was our first visit to Tokyo and we were delighted. We made the reservation online and, upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly and attentive staff. It is important to note that, depending on the time of your arrival, the entire process may be carried out automatically, without human assistance. The facilities are flat-style and are also available for booking through the Airbnb system (we found out about this upon arrival, when we saw a family with children arriving for the stay). The apartments are extremely clean, complete with a kitchen, washing machine and all the amenities offered by hotels (toiletries), as well as bath towels. An important note: there is no room cleaning service included in the daily rate, and it must be contracted for an additional cost. There is also no breakfast offered, even for a fee. However, the convenience stores near the hotel can meet basic consumer needs. The location is a little far from public transportation points, especially the subway station. Overall, I recommend the place for the courtesy and friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and the adequate space of the apartments.
