Food: Of all the ramens I’ve tried this is by far the most unique, although I have not tasted a lot. in total I’ve tried around 10 ramen shops. (Including the truffle ramen at ginza)
Unique good, I am an individual that neither like or dislike oysters yet the soup is AMAZING, personally it doesn’t smell of an oyster’s oder yet you can taste the good part of it.
The noodle is quite big and its portion will definitely make you feel full.
the standard version is enough The deluxe version which I recommend if you’re feeling hungry. Adds a slice of meat, bamboo shoot and an egg
The other deluxe version give the same as before but extra seaweed, would not recommend
The super deluxe version is… subjective, they gave everything in above but with an oyster, when I ordered it. The size of the oyster can be different which probably the only downside.
I say it’s subjective mainly because… if you don’t like oyster don’t order it! Otherwise if you’re curious do so, from my second time eating there, it doesn’t smell AT ALL
I have not tried other food other than the original oyster ramen. I’ve yet to rate it a 5 star and cannot do so until I try the clam version
Service and atmosphere:
The service there was excellent and friendly, but most of all, efficient. Their friendliness isn’t too overbearing but very friendly, and their staff is quick to clean up and refill your drinks,
at my second visit number 28 refilled my glass around 9 times, seemed to be able to speak mandarin, Japanese and English well enough. She was helpful even when you didn’t ask for it
As for the atmosphere. It’s a calming and clean environment, similar to a sushi bar or a bar. You can see where the chefs cook, and there is a nearby single...
Read moreAmbiance: Simple, clean, and calming setting—ideal for enjoying your meal without distractions. Taste: The ramen truly shines with a rich broth and tender slices of pork that stand out for their flavor and texture. The noodles strike a good balance of chewiness, and toppings like the marinated egg and fresh garnishes add layers of taste. The rice, however, deserves honest feedback: it’s a touch too moist and clumps together rather than offering that ideal, separate grain texture. Although the taste itself is lovely, a longer cooking time or better technique would lift the overall rice experience. Mixing ramen soup with the rice adds extra depth, and the egg is a must-try for its creamy texture and seasoned taste. Recommendation: Best suited for ramen lovers looking for a quality bowl with excellent meat and toppings. If you appreciate straightforward, hearty Japanese fare and a comfortable dining space, this is a solid choice. Overall Review: ramen oyster and shell impresses with standout ramen and unforgettable meat, making it well worth a visit. Fine-tuning the rice for more distinctive grains would boost the meal’s satisfaction. Still, the honest flavors and comforting ambiance keep it high on my list
Staff 22 is nice Especially Proactive refilling water and work fast :) other staffs like 29 and 8 inside the kitchen, for preparing a nice...
Read moreI LOVED the oyster soup. It’s not the common soup base in Japan, and the last one I had was from 篝 (the Michelin one star), which was great (tho only the top layer was strong with oyster taste), but this was a whole new level. The whole bowl was bursting with oyster flavor throughout, and it’s thick in consistency (close to the tsukemen dipping sauce)—some might argue it’s too thick but not for me. The noodles is well coated with soup that eating noodles alone is flavourful too.
That said, I didn’t find the meat slices tasty. There’s barely marination flavor, and the fat is not melty nor as as flavourful as it usually is everywhere else. It almost tastes like the meat slices in convenient stores. The oyster was also not a must-eat to me. But ajitama was perfectly done with the just nice consistency and marination.
But anyway for the heavenly soup still won me over. I’m still coming back until someone made oyster based soup better than them. But I would only order the basic one without the special condiments, since it already comes with everything except the...
