This place has excellent monjayaki for a reasonable price and the cooking was done skillfully by our server (blond hair, young man, didn’t get his name). He was extremely polite and attentive, saw us having difficulty with the Japanese menu and heard us speaking English so he brought the English menu over and offered us water without being asked to. We had a marvellous time and was ready to leave a 5-star stellar review until our server for the dessert changed. Young man, black hair in a stripe tee came over to clean the grill before cooking the dessert but we don’t know why he was so grumpy that he threw down the spatulas and left. Shortly after, he came back to cook our dessert but he splashed the ingredients angrily onto the pan that the oil splattered and scalded my mother’s hand. This staff didn’t even apologise and continued his rude behaviour before leaving our table. He didn’t even regulate the temperature of the grill and we were left with a burnt red bean mochi mess. Would’ve taken 2 stars off cause we had a bad experience that ruined the night for us. But we made a complain to the blonde hair staff who provided my mum with an ice bag and offered us a complimentary dessert to replace our burnt mochi. I think your experience will vary depending on who attends to you.

I live in Japan for almost 4 years. And this restaurant is one of the worst we ever eaten at. First of all it is very dirty (when you enter and take a ladder, it is so dirty. And after the table and everything is so dirty too). The waitress who served us was very unfriendly. But the worst was the food: first came yakisoba (?). Waitress just mixed everything. There was no even yakisoba sauce, pork was not grilled correctly, everything was raw. I saw yakisoba at the other table, it looked good as a usual yakisoba, probably that was just this waitress… After was two okonomiyaki which were just raw inside and didn’t keep the shape. I will not write here all the little details of it but let me say that Okonomiyaki and yakisoba are favorite dish of my daughter and she said that was disgusting. As soon as I got back home I had a stomach ache.

We were wandering Shibuya after some shopping and came across this lovely little restaurant. Okonomiyaki is one of my favourite dishes so seeing the sign outside we had to stop. We ordered the Modanyaki (okonomiyaki with noodles) and tried the pork and green onion Monja. Both were absolutely delicious, hearty and satisfied our hunger after a busy day in Shibuya. Our server Rio prepared the dishes at the table for us, and provided fantastic service throughout the meal. It was lovely to hear about her upcoming trip to Australia and we hope she has an amazing time!

Good variety of Okonomiyaki. So far the best was still the Seafood Okonomiyaki in my preference. Overall the food is delicious and fair standard. Price for me seems a little above average for it's standard. Didn't had the "Wow" factor. Service is fair, some were really friendly and some had a straight face. Wasn't offended by it, just seems they could do better. The restaurant is a small place and setting were little tight. Storage were under the seats but was cramp to get into. However, had a good experience. Will I come back? 2.3 of 5 would be my opinion.

We were looking for okonomiyaki and discovered monja at this great restaurant! The staff was awesome - great customer service and so good with kids (we have a 1 and 5 year old). They cooked our dishes for us on the tabletop grill and were helpful in explaining when/how to eat as this was our first time here. We ordered the specials for both the okonomiyaki and monja along with mushroom and butter and corn and butter. So good! We had a great experience and highly recommend. Note for other travelers: they have English menus and staff speak English
