Very comfortable atmosphere and great traditional Japanese food. We were greeted by a very nice lady who was extremely patient with us. We could speak very little Japanese, but she spoke slowly and clearly so we could understand as best we could. We took a 15 minute bus ride just to get here. This place will take you back in time like a capsule - that’s how authentic it is. The food was amazing - we ordered the shrimp tempura, yakitori, kani, and more; everything was just what I wanted instead of the usual tourist traps izayaka around the city. We were there today and really enjoyed the experience. It's very traditional place run by a family. Oba-sama was the waitress and made sure that we know what kind of food we'll be eating. Appetizer was katsuo, tomato with asparagus, figue with sweet sesame sauce. All main dishes are sets with misoshiru and pickled vegetables. I had oyakodon, and it was very tasty.
