I did this go kart tour after watching a YouTube video. Thought it would be fun. They speak perfect English, they teach you how to use the go karts and follow the Japanese road system. They were absolutely friendly and I couldnt have been more impressed. The routes were absolutely scenic and you drive through the city. I literally can't complain about a single thing about this company. As a critical reviewer I'm quite picky about everything and in quite honestly they well exceeded my expectations. They took pictures for you, as well as they had a lead vehicle and a rear vehicle. You also get to dress up as your favorite character from the costumes they offer. Which adds even more of a joke and just makes it all that much more fun of a company. Everyone was super kind, the people who are customers here are also tourist all around from the world.

Things for customers:

  1. Make sure you have your international drivers permit (you can get this from Triple A (AAA) in America.

  2. Make sure you bring that with as well as your wallet and drivers license.

  3. Pay online, then they will give you 1,000 YEN back in store once you arrive.

  4. Listen to the tour guides, what they say is actually rather important. It's not like listening to a flight attendant on a plane when you have to hear the same message a 1000 times.

  5. Make sure you show up 10 minutes early to pick your costume and finish the paper work and everything. The paper work takes about 2 minutes and getting ready takes about 5 minutes, and their instructions takes about 15 minutes overall.

Things I would suggest to improve the company over all:

  1. Have more signage, our taxi drivers have an issue finding your location through the GPS's they use.

  2. Purchase GOPROs and rent them out, so you can mount them to the go kart as well as yourself and sell the SD cards or email them the footage of them. Doing this would bring in more revenue long term, as well as more memories.

  3. It would be awesome if you guys did different locations apart of Tokyo at different times too on certain week days. I definitely would be a returning customer instead of a one time visit. Aside that I couldn't recommend a better experience.

  4. Offer goggles or glasses. Maybe even sun glasses to the customers, since I did experience getting dust in my eyes once in a bit which was quite annoying as my friend did too.

  5. I would recommend offering water bottles to your customers. Have like a water break, I over heard a customer saying he wish he brought water, as so did I. This wouldn't be much and would make your service even better.

I seriously couldnt recommend a better company to get an...

Took the 3 hour tour on our first night in Tokyo, and loved every minute of it. Incredible way to get introduced to an amazing city.

After being recommended by a friend, we booked and paid online in advance, eventually settling on Tokyo Kart rather than other companies who run similar tours, largely because of the ease of their website.

Despite them having fewer reviews online, we were really happy we choose Tokyo Kart after the experience.

Arriving most of the group (Inc. myself) seemed at least a little aprehensive about driving in Tokyo. The team give you a briefing on pointers to pay attention to, and cover all bases during the drive with support vehicles in front (and for larger group, also behind) the karts so you've got nothing to worry about. Pay attention during the briefing, then its just a matter of remaining aware while on the drive - nothing to be nervous about!

The drive itself is glorious. Feeling like some strange mash up of a childhood greatest hits tour; Blade Runne, meets Mario cart via Star Wars. To some it might seem a little machismo, petrol fed and it's certainly a little madcap. But any reservations as a responsible tourist aside, in my brief experience, Tokyo is a city that incorporates a wide spectrum of wonders. From reverential and tradional to the wild and completely unconventional. So long as drivers remain responsible Tokyo Kart simply aims to embrace the city's wierder wonder.

Be respectful of the locals (and their traffic laws) and you'll find you're met with smiles, waves and wide eyes from kids and adults alike. In the end everyone loves being a big kid.

Huge thanks to the Tokyo Kart team who took care of us on the evening: Hayashi, Tomo & Matt - gratitude!

[P. S. More toliet breaks for longer tours. (:...

A Fantastic Experience at Japankart!

Our experience at Japankart was simply outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. Their hospitality was immediately noticeable and made us feel right at home.

One of the things that stood out the most was how thorough the explanations were, both before and during the karting. The staff took their time to explain everything clearly and in detail, so we knew exactly what to expect and were well-informed about the safety protocols. This gave us a lot of confidence and allowed us to fully enjoy the experience.

During the karting, the guidance was also excellent. The staff kept a close eye on everything and provided tips and advice as needed. It was clear that they wanted to ensure we got the most out of our time on the track.

A special mention goes to the new employee, who, despite being new to the company, made a great impression. She was incredibly friendly and made sure we felt truly welcome. Her enthusiasm and professionalism made the experience even better.

What really added to the experience was the fact that they took amazing photos of us while we were karting, and they provided these to us for free! This was such a nice touch and allowed us to take home some great memories from the day.

All in all, we spent two fantastic hours at Japankart. The price-quality ratio is excellent, and it’s hard to find a better deal for such an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Japankart to anyone looking for a fun and well-organized...
