Our family stayed here for 5 nights in October 2023. The hotel is reasonably priced, the location is great (near Sky Tree, train stations, restaurants, convenience stores etc), and in the most part the staff were very helpful and super friendly.||We did have one big BAD experience though!! ||We arrived at the hotel expecting to be checked into our interconnecting family room that we had booked a couple of months previously from Australia, but were told by the staff that we had to have seperate rooms for the first night, and then move all our gear from one of the rooms to the interconnecting room the next evening.|The staff were very apologetic about it and were not sure why this had happened!|Luckily I had a print out of our booking stating we had booked and paid for interconnecting rooms, so they called the manager, who arrived about 45 minutes later - this is where our complaint starts....!!||The manager was VERY rude and abrupt as soon as he walked into the lobby and said that we should have known about it because he had emailed the 3rd party who it was booked through - I reminded him that these companies deal with thousands of booking, and that he should have emailed me direct, but regardless of this, it should not be happening as we had booked and paid for our interconnecting rooms months earlier!!||He abruptly blamed a computer error, and rudely asked did we still want to stay there or go and stay somewhere else...!! (as we are sitting in the lobby very tired after a long trip, with 3 young children....).||So, just a gentle warning about the manager..........||The rest of the staff were so lovely and helpful, and as I mentioned earlier, the hotel itself is nice and clean and in a great location. The view from the roof is amazing.||Just be careful of the manager from Fawlty...
Read moreI spent 9 days at this hotel. It was clean and had most things you needed as a traveller.||The capsules are actually bigger than i was expecting, they had hangers, small and large towels available, slippers, a small safe and free amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, iron, curlers and other things.||There is also a microwave and kettles in the hub area. There is no fridge so you can't keep things cold.||If you need things to be dark when you sleep make sure you get a bottom bunk because there is no top to the top bunk and you'll hear everything and the light will shine on you, although be warned the bottom bunks get hot! There is AC on all the time but when the curtain is closed it doesn't circulate in, but you adjust.||The hotel is about a 10 walk from Asakusa Station and 4 mins from the honjo one, but Asakusa is the main station, there's a shortcut to it if you go straight out of the hotel towards the golden turd (I mean flame) 😂.||There is a laundry service nearby they have signs in the hotel about it. If you use the white ones it add its own detergent! Not expensive but I used the expensive ones hence the tip!||Really nice stay and the roof top is something else!! I stayed here purely for the roof top view and I wasn't...
Read moreStayed in mixed dorm on late April. Clean and good value. Great location, if you want a budget place that is near to Asakusa. Appreciate the bath tub. Nice view from the rooftop. Staffs speak good English.
Room is small. They provide a luggage rack, but it was fully occupied. 2 shower rooms for 25 people, a bit of a wait every night. Rather stuffy room. There's no window to tell day or night. The mixed dorm has only one tiny toilet for ladies, one that an average size Asian girl like me struggled to open and close the door when I'm in it. Quite a lot of toilets for guys though. Noisy room. Didn't have a really good sleep because my bed was next to the shower room. Somebody took shower at midnight. No explicit rule telling them not to do so and be silence. Climbing up was a bit tricky, don't know why but just harder than other hostels. Minimal or almost non-existent common area. Two small tables (4 chairs) next to the reception. One big high table outside (stand only), with two kettles. Being outside means you have to inhale second hand smoke. The designated smoking area is right next to the entrance. Not a cosy...
