California Diner PLAYERS — Restaurant in Yokohama

The burger itself was tasty and the service during our meal was nice. However, I found the onion rings a bit too salty for my personal preference. Also, when we went to pay, the cashier spoke to us quite rudely and told us that next time we should order at least one drink. We didn’t know that was required, as in Japan it’s usually not mandatory to order a drink—especially when water is served for free. Normally, if there’s a drink policy, it’s clearly written somewhere, but we didn’t see any sign or notice at our table. If this is a rule, we would have appreciated being informed more politely. I was skeptical as they didn’t spell hamburger correctly. If they can’t spell it can they make a good one? I ordered the Players Burger, regular size with lunch set. The lunch set was a good mostly lettuce salad (don’t like cabbage salads) & potato cream soup. I got 3 tatertots. Did they fry only 3? I got my meal within 5-10 minutes as the shop wasn’t busy in middle of afternoon. The burger was bacon cheeseburger with a chili-like sauce. It tasted very good but not great. We did takeout from this place for a few times, this was our first dine-in attempt. Literally no one can wear their masks properly at this place - masks going on and off all the time, in the kitchen, when they come around to serve us, behind the counter... Makes me wonder if they really wash their hands in the kitchen, and just makes the fact they did sanitizer spray and fever check on us first thing when we stepped in all the more ironic.
