KyoChubo — Restaurant in Yokohama

1 star, would give zero if I could.

We came to this restaurant as a group of friends, hoping to enjoy a variety of Chinese dishes. Unfortunately, everything about the experience was disappointing.

The service was incredibly slow and unorganized. I had to wait nearly 30 minutes just for a simple noodle dish. The owner even asked me where to put the plate — which felt strange and unprofessional. The place was also uncomfortably hot and cramped.

As for the food — honestly, terrible. I ordered Chinese noodles that were supposed to be hot and flavorful, but they were bland and tasted like instant noodles made with a cheap, lazy recipe.

This is easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Definitely not coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend...

I had a fantastic dinner at Xu Kitchen in Yokohama Chinatown. Every dish was absolutely delicious! The spicy wontons were rich and flavorful, with just the right kick. The mapo tofu was perfectly balanced – savory, spicy, and comforting. The clay pot chicken with basil was the highlight – fragrant, tender, and deeply satisfying. 平日ランチで訪問。

◆えび玉 750円 2021.3.23火 カニ玉のえび版。プリプリのえびがたくさん入っていて、あんがトロッとしていて、美味しかった。 厨房から出てきたお店の人が「いつもありがとうございます。」と声をかけてくれた。今回が初めてなのに気持ちが良かった。 水と熱いお茶のどちらが良いかとか、えび玉をご飯の上にかけることもできるけどとか、こころ配りある接客が素晴らしかった。ここは中華街か？ ちょと甘いかもしれないが、星四つ。

◆海鮮と彩野菜の炒め 750円 2021.7.13火 海老、白身魚、貝柱、ブロッコリー、にんじん、長ネギ、しめじ、タケノコと具沢山。 塩加減が良く、美味しかった。 口の中を火傷するくらい熱々だった。自分で料理すると、こんなに熱々にできない。さすが、プロの技は違う。

◆ナスのピリ辛煮込み 750円 2022.9.29木 一年ほど改装でお休みだったので、久々の訪問。 お店は新しくなりパワーアップ。 味、接客、値段も変わらず、素晴らしいお店。 中華街には良いお店がたくさんあるので、ナンバーワンとは言えないかも知れないけど、私のお気に入り。

◆ 高菜と海鮮炒め 750円 2023.7.7金 味付けは良い加減の塩味。 具材は高菜、ブロッコリー、しめじ、タケノコ、4〜5cmのイカが4杯、エビが3〜4尾、ゴロゴロと入っていて、食べ応えがあった。 見た目は熱さを感じなかったので、一口目、上のブロッコリーを口にしたら、熱くて慌てて口から出してしまった。 熱い料理って美味し。

◆ 蒸し鶏 特製ソースがけ 750円 2024.1.25木 今年最初の中華街ランチ。 開店5分前に着いたら、4人ほど並んでいた。いつの頃からか、行列店になってしまい、悲しい。 本日は、週替わりのランチの中から、蒸し鶏をセレクト。 上にかかっているのは、ミョウガと長ネギの千切りの薬味。 鶏肉を薬味、ソースと共にスプーンですくって食べたら、旨し。 このお店、町中華やチェーン店では味わえない、メニューが嬉しい。 これ以上、行列が長くならないで欲しい。
