I don’t really write reviews, but I thought everyone should know this because what we faced was absolutely absurd.
Anyways, here is the story. The owner of the store was super nice at the beginning and he let my friend and I into his empty restaurant on a Saturday night. We went in and ordered one plate of pasta and one drink each. It was all good until we ordered one dessert for 2 people. He made a comment in a serious tone like “You’re only getting one? It’s a small portion and I won’t be splitting it into two”. At this point, we thought it was not normal for someone to say that in Japan but we just brushed it off. Anyways, after we had dessert and was ready to leave, we asked to make a payment and he didn’t give the receipt to us so we asked for the receipt. He literally told us in a rude way “領収書ないから” with a really annoying facial expression. We were shocked because he was so rude and we didn’t do anything out of the ordinary except maybe speak in English occasionally, and his attitude towards us changed after we ordered one dessert to share amongst the two of us (we were full). I was utterly shocked and disgusted by the way he acted. Perhaps he thought we were just a bunch of people who couldn’t afford the meals but that’s not the case. I understand that restaurants went through a lot during COVID, but I think it’s important for them to make the experience great for customers so that they would want to go back in the future. I’m definitely not going back after that terrible experience and I hope the owner does something about his attitude because it was not a nice experience for us.

Read moreExtremely satisfied and happy finding this hidden gem. The food is so delicious. Even though I was full, I couldn’t stop eating and trying other dishes. I have been to Italy and I must say the standard of Italian food that the chef cooks is comparable if not better than the food there. Truly made my day and trip to Yokohama. The chef takes some time to prepare a dish, however it is because he is carefully preparing the dish and it makes me feel really happy that the chef is putting so much effort for my dish. Of course, it is worth the wait. The seasoning and doneness of the dish is perfect with its flavors coating my mouth. I ordered a total of 3 pastas and 2 appetizers and I can’t find my favorite because they were all individually and uniquely delicious. The owner who was the chef was also really friendly and kind who sent me off when i was done. Im truly impressed coming here. We were underdressed from traveling and walking all day, but were still welcomed to dine. It was an incredibly romantic dinner as no other customers were dining, so we basically had a private dining experience together.
