I was a bit worried when I entered the restaurant at around 9 pm local time because no one was there despite the raving reviews. I’m worried that the reviews are fake haha since there were some 1 star rating as well. Vibe of the place also doesn’t seem promising.
However after our food came.. damn ok this is one of the best Korean restaurant I’ve ever had after I moved to Dubai for work (Dubai is very deprived of good Asian food I’m telling you haha) and I cannot believe I got to taste it again in Almaty!
The bibimbap is one of the best I’ve ever had! I really like the egg yolk coating the mixed rice and veggies and how there is rice cracks because they are using hot pot.
Naengmyeon could be better but it was nice although the kimchi is a little bit too sour for me. Doenjangjiggae was fine, we wondered how the kimchi jiggae would be though. Rice was amazing! (I’m sorry I became too basic after Dubai lol)
Haemul paejeon seems a little bit like fried egg haha they have too many egg and too little dough so it didn’t become crispy enough. Overall I had...
Read moreVery delicious Korean restaurant in the city center There are many delicious Korean side dishes. Eggplant rolls and shredded carrots are especially delicious. I highly recommend the cold noodles, which are cool and fresh, and the pictures can’t capture their deliciousness. The menu has pictures, you can look at the pictures to order, or use Google Translate. Because I didn't see the English menu. Very clean restaurant. And there are towels in the bathroom to wipe your hands. The waiters are very enthusiastic, and they always have smiles on their faces, which makes us happy. The two of us ate about 16,000, and the portion is very sufficient. We ordered too much and didn't finish it. There is a 10% service charge and everything was perfect, the only problem was that the waiter was going to take my plate away without asking, but that doesn't matter. I give five stars, if I come to Almaty again, I will definitely...
Read moreThe way this place exotifies and appropriates Korean culture is offensive. This is not a celebration of Korean culture, but an exploitation....
