Title: A Carnivore's Paradise in Nairobi!
Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fogo Gaucho restaurant in Nairobi, and let me tell you, it was an experience like no other. As a self-proclaimed carnivore, I was in meat heaven with their extensive selection that ranged from succulent beef cuts to exotic options like crocodile.
The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with an authentic South American flair. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, explaining the various cuts of meat and their preparation methods. What truly set Fogo Gaucho apart was their unique dining concept. Servers elegantly paraded around with skewers of sizzling meats, offering a continuous feast for the senses. Each cut was expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection, resulting in flavors that danced across my palate.
The variety was astounding. I indulged in tender beef ribs that practically melted off the bone, savory lamb chops that were seared to a delightful crispiness, and even dared to try the intriguing crocodile meat which turned out to be surprisingly delicious. The accompanying sides were equally impressive, from the fresh salads to the delectable sauces that complemented the meats flawlessly.
Portion sizes were generous, allowing me to sample a wide range of meats without feeling overwhelmed. The waitstaff was efficient in ensuring that my plate was never empty and my dining experience was truly enjoyable. While the focus was predominantly on meat, I appreciated that they also catered to vegetarians with a variety of tasty options.
If you're a meat enthusiast like myself and are seeking a culinary adventure that goes beyond the ordinary, Fogo Gaucho is a must-visit. With its exceptional selection of meats, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance, it's a carnivore's paradise right in the heart of Nairobi. Because there is so much food to eat here. Now that that is out of the way...
This place is one the most fun, value for money eateries in Nairobi.
The cost last time I was there on a Saturday was shs.3,000pp. This price is inclusive of starters (soups, cold cuts, salads), the main course of about 12 different cuts of meat. You'll have some favourite meats & maybe that one meat type which you won't enjoy. But hey, it's a really good selection in general & it tastes great.
The meat servings also come with fries, some plantains, and there's some nice cinnamon coated pineapple, too.
Then there's dessert of cakes and fruits. It's so much food, you won't leave here feeling you want more. You'll leave totally satisfied. So, value for money ie definitely here.
Waiters here are great. They're quite busy, but you can have some really good conversations with them. Share a few jokes, too. They'll do the usual happy birthday singing as well.
Drinks, however, are on the higher side of the pricing. Sodas, juice, milkshakes, cocktails & mocktails, and alcohols are all available. As well as your usual hot beverages.
If you're two, I'd say an additional shs.3K for drinks will be more than enough for the two of you.
So yeah, if you're thinking of going here, I highly recommend it. And do feel free to let the staff know of any problems you're having. They'll do everything to make your...
