Taidy's Tavern in Upper Hill, Nairobi, is a versatile dining and entertainment venue that stands out as a hidden gem. During my recent visit, I found that the ambiance was one of its strongest features. The well-designed space offers both indoor and outdoor seating, including a charming terrace, creating a warm and modern atmosphere suitable for various occasions. Families will appreciate the dedicated kids' play area, and the lively environment during sports events, complemented by large screens, adds to the excitement. The tavern also boasts unique amenities, such as a barber shop and a car wash, although the sound of the pressure pump can be a distraction at times.
Culinary offerings at Taidy's include a mix of local African delicacies and familiar comfort food. The gourmet burgers and chicken and pork dishes come highly recommended, with fried gizzards, chicken wings, and garlic fries often cited as particular favorites. The pricing is reasonable, providing good value, especially in the typically upscale Upper Hill area. The menu accommodates a variety of dining times with options for breakfast, coffee, and a solid selection of wines and beers.
However, service consistency is an area that could use improvement. While many visitors praise the friendly and well-trained staff, some have experienced slow service or less-than-ideal interactions, especially during busy periods. This inconsistency can lead to longer waiting times for food, even when the quality is satisfactory.
Overall, Taidy’s Tavern presents a unique and multifaceted experience in Nairobi. With its tasty and affordable menu, inviting atmosphere, and diverse offerings, it caters to both locals and visitors looking for a relaxed, community-oriented venue, despite some potential improvements in...

In terms of the ambience, it is a beautiful, well organized place that has been tastefully furnished. The food was so amazing and very fresh...I had the stir fried beef with sautéed potatoes and I enjoyed every bit of the meal. The staff are also very friendly and fast in delivering the services.
