THE LOCATION GRILL — Restaurant in Nairobi

Location Grill in Westlands next to pramukh towers is the definition of a restaurant that should not exist.

We walked in for lunch, got menus, and quickly realized they were useless almost nothing on them was available. The “options” boiled down to fish, matumbo, fries, and ugali or mokimo. That’s it.

The fish my colleague ordered arrived cold, dry, and without a single side. No sauce, no effort, just a plate of neglected food mind you this was 20 minutes after ,The ugali came later half way through his meal it was freezing cold, and when he complained, they swapped it out for another cold ugali that took another century,as if that somehow solved the problem.

I ordered matumbo, but after watching this circus, I canceled and went for fries instead. Apparently, even fries were too much for this kitchen to handle, because I was told I would have to “wait longer.” By the time my colleagues had finished forcing down their sad plates, I had eaten nothing. Not even water was offered. A restaurant that can’t manage to bring water to the table doesn’t deserve to be called a restaurant.

And then there was the “manager”—a woman in glasses, reportedly related to the owner. She never once addressed us, never apologized, never cared. She spent the entire time glued to her phone, wandering around the empty restaurant as if customer service was beneath her.

Watching her stand there, doing absolutely nothing while guests walked out unfed, said everything you need to know about how this place is run.

Location Grill served us cold food, no food, and zero respect. If you’re thinking of eating here, don’t. Save your time, your money, and your appetite. This place is a joke, and the punchline is...
