Terrible service and administration.
We reserved a table for 19:00, paid a deposit, and pre-ordered all dishes and drinks the day before dinner. We arrived at 18:45, but the waitstaff ignored us until 19:07, when I finally had to call them using the service button (before that, I assumed the dishes would be served any minute). To be fair, the waiter came immediately and promised that all the dishes would be served within 5–7 minutes, but by 19:15, only one of the three hot dishes arrived.
At 19:35, after multiple reminders, the second dish was finally served. We had to ask for the wine twice, despite having pre-ordered it. The third dish shamefully arrived at 19:45—exactly an hour after we had arrived. The most frustrating part? A couple sitting next to us, who arrived after us and ordered on the spot, received all their dishes before we did. 🤡
We called the manager, who responded to our complaints by saying:
Without pre-ordering, the wait time would have been even longer (which contradicts the fact that customers who arrived later and ordered on-site were served faster). The restaurant was busy due to Ramadan (which is no excuse—if they accept reservations, they should be able to handle full capacity).
My recommendations: Provide better training for the waitstaff. They should not lie to customers for an hour with empty promises like "your order is coming soon," "just a minute," etc. It’s always better to be honest about delays in the kitchen and suggest ordering something quick, like appetizers or salads. This would actually be a win-win for the restaurant since we would have ordered and paid for additional dishes. Lying only worsens the situation. The manager should learn to listen to customers and proactively inform them if certain pre-ordered dishes require longer preparation. This would significantly reduce frustration. P.S. The food barely deserves a 3/5 - far from authentic Georgian cuisine. Though, in all honesty, this was the least disappointing part...
Read moreTerrible service. Waited 30 minutes for someone to take our order. The waiters seemed to be actively ignoring us - acknowledging us waving them over but still not coming to take our order? The food was brought out one by one, with long gaps in between, despite us having ordered separately - so we had to watch each other eat. The food was ok - I wouldn’t recommend the khachapuri lobiani which was very dry. Two of our dishes didn’t come so after an hour of waiting we asked for the cheque. The dishes were on the receipt and when we asked for it to be taken off, he brought over the cold dishes which had clearly been sitting on the waiter’s bench for quite some time. The dishes were on the expensive side. I’d recommend saving your money and...
Read moreThe food itself was great but they forgot about part of my order, until i asked if they had forgotten about me. I realize this isn't the US, where customer service is #1, but if you make a guy wait 35 minutes for food that should have taken 10-12, give him a discount on the late stuff, or throw in a free drink.
Then, there was a drunk guy they didn't kick out. The first time he came to my table i thought was to apologize because of the smoking, but he overstayed his welcome. Then he harrased a female employee and she just went the opposite direction. 10 minutes later he came to my table again and this time i told to leave, which he did, but it nevertheless is not something you should have to do at...
