Potayski — Restaurant in Bishkek City

Tried this new place recently. It's on a side street and unless you have visited before you may need navigation to find it. The premises are nice enough and the service was attentive. They give an interesting selection of small tapas to eat whilst waiting for the food. We ordered the vietnamese summer rolls with Shrimp, TomYam Shrimp and Pad Thai Shrimp also. The Tom Yam was authentic and tasty. The Pad Thai although was nice there seemed to be something missing from it possibly chilli, but it went down well anyway. The summer rolls came during the main course. They were OK too. The only let down with our visit here was on the bill. They added a 15% service charge. This is disappointing because after being charged an extra 15% on top of our bill it makes you reluctant to leave a tip for the staff. After a week of touring through Kyrgyzstan for our holiday we came back to Bishkek. After only eating Kyrgyz food, we wanted something different. The food that we got served in the restaurant was amazing, every single dish was delicious and authentic. They also suprised us with many little side dishes free of charge. I have been here several times. I love most of the food. Their curry is great, pad thai is good, pho is nice, som tam also great. They gave us water and snack for waiting our order. That's awesome service! But the pad thai taste a bit different for first time I ate here, and now. I wish they can keep mantain the quality. Their thai tea isn't taste thai tea 🥲 it's even not sweet.
