Cyclone — Restaurant in Bishkek City

Update: Let me clarify, since my experience was dismissed by the owner.

I wouldn’t recommend Cyclone if you’re a person of color. (Specifically if your outward appearance reflects your culture.)

When I walked in, the people behind the counter stared blankly as if they weren’t wanting to help. No greetings, no nothing. So I asked if there were seats available in Russian and English. Still nothing.

Finally, a waiter offers to seat me. It was odd that I was hesitantly sat in a back room. There were two people in the restaurant and the room chosen for me didn’t even have the lights on. I had to ask the waiter to turn a light on for me. What kind of service is that? Then two of the guys circle around my table to get a laugh or whatever in. I tried to get the waiter’s attention. Him and his buddy laugh it off, so I left.

Micro aggressions are rooted in racism. I can’t believe this is happening in Bishkek. I will be sure to share my experience with other people in Bishkek.

It’s unacceptable to treat people like that, then to later dismiss my experience when asked about it. It shows that common courtesy and decency are not valued. It’s obvious that this type of behavior is normalized at this...

A place near the White House. High prices ? 30% higher than almost every restaurant you can find or 40% higher than a fast food like KFC. In Milan's restaurant near Duomo or in the main streets prices are at least three times higher ( 300%) than an equal suburban Milanese restaurant. We are from Italy: meat, pizza and pasta are really good. There's another "italian" place where I spent 25% less for a Margherita but it was a frozen precooked 😑😑😑 in Italy something like this is really illegal. Espresso is the same you can find in a Italian bar. ( but there's a place in Bishkek not too far from there where the Espresso is like the best Caffè you can dream to drink in Italy 😉 ) I've tried almost all the Italian restaurant in Bishkek ( only 2 remaining ), for now is my favourite . There was a little misadventure with a drunk beggar and the owner immediately protected us putting herselves in danger. The worst italian restaurant i have ever had been in the world. First of all I had to wait for a long time to give order ( there were just a few customers ) I ordered pasta and fruit juice. It took more then half an hour. Finally the pasta arrived unfortunatelly it was uncooked like chop sticks. I complained it and they recooked but its obviously microwaved because it was just warmed up afterwards they forgot cutleries. They are always hiding, I had to go into the restaurant to find someone to help. The last thing is payment, again i had to go into the restaurant to ask the check.
